How did we get to September???

My girls finally went to school today! I'm not sure how we got to September - there just seemed to be months of never ending, incredibly hard home school and then, wham! All of a sudden it's September. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel slightly more sane and get to do some crafting :-)

I did manage to get this card made earlier in week though. It's using an image and papers from the LOTV new release. There are lots of new papers and images and you can overly the images onto the paper as I did with this card. It's a brilliant new collection :-)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

Okay, so it's not really beginning to look a lot like Christmas but I feel like I need something to look forward to!

I brought out the Tonic die again for this one. I really like it with these new digi stamps from LOTV.  This snowman stamp can be found here.

I have a mountain of school clothes to label but the will is just not there today. Maybe I'll do some colouring and try again tomorrow?

New penguins :-)

Another one from the new LOTV release :-) I love these penguins!

I'm now down to my last scraps of Christmas papers. Any suggestions of lovely Christmas backing papers would be gratefully received!!

New release from Lili of the Valley

How cute are these penguins?? They will be in the Lili of the Valley Etsy shop from tomorrow.

I teamed the image up with the Mythical Glade Layering Die from Tonic.

I have done practically no crafting during lockdown because I was homeschooling my 2 girls. It's definitely been a challenge. I felt like a total novice when I sat down to craft yesterday and I think it's going to be a long while before I get back in to the crafty groove. I definitely need to do a Kit and Clowder class - I just hope it's safe for the girls to return to school in September and I get time to craft!

Still colouring!

I've coloured 6 of the Crafter's Companion Molly Harrison fairies now. They're just my thing and I'm sure it's cheaper than therapy!
This one is one of my favourites- but each time I colour one my favourite changes!

I can't buy them all (the puppy fund finally has some money in it so I'm not spending anything) so I'm glad the manager of the local craft shop has lent me the stamps to make samples for the her :-)

Colouring marathon!

The manager of the craft shop where I run classes lent me lots of the Molly Harrison fairy stamps so that I could colour them and make samples for the shop. I've been colouring all week - my eyes are totally boggled now!

This fairy is one of my favourites, although to be fair, there isn't a rubbish stamp among them.

It was all going really well until a great big blob of ink fell from a juicy pen! I did my best to save it but it's all I see when I look at this one.

It's been a bit of a crazy week - drama everywhere. If this week is the same I may hide in a cupboard. Shhh, tell no one!

Amethyst Fairy

Happy days - the Molly Harrison fairy stamps from Crafter's Companion are out :-) This one is Poppies of Amethyst. She's just lovely - but then they are all beautiful.

Fun in the sun :-)

I love this stamp from Polkadoodles - doesn't she look just soooo happy?

I'm almost warm just looking at her!

When you should be ironing . . .

I thought I'd make a quick card before embarking on the rather large pile of ironing that has built up lately. Unfortunately, the card was a little trickier than I anticipated and the ironing never got done!

I've used the LOTV Simply Sweet Unicorns and the Crafter's Companion Torn Panel Create a Card die.

New papers

Do you ever buy a pack of papers and wish, as soon as you cut into them, that you'd bought two packs? These Anna Marie design papers are lush and I so wish I'd just got an extra pack.
I really love this pretty blue colour - it's a beautiful pad. I used some Sue Wilson flower and foliage dies and a LOTV sentiment.

Last minute . . . .

This was one of those last minute, 'whoops I forgot' kinda cards!! Glad I'd coloured the image sometime last year.

It's another LOTV digi (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/646772936/lili-of-the-valley-digi-stamp-as-belle?ref=shop_home_active_121)

Back to school tomorrow :-( It's going to be really quiet around here. That may not be a bad thing ;-)

Simply Sweet

I went to get Indigo's school blazer out of the cupboard and as I hung it on the cupboard door I found huge, mahoosive splodges of white paint on the inside :-( Seriously! I checked the outside last week. I may be drying the blooming coat with a hairdryer if it doesn't dry tomorrow.

On a happier note, I made another thank you card :-) This time I used the Simply Sweet elephant stamp set. It's now available as a digi https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/664200047/simply-sweet-stamp-set-elephants-jpeg?ref=shop_home_active_6

I really love these elephants - I've had the set ages but have only just got around to using them. I'm having a massive clearout because I'm determined to start using the stuff I have but can't see the wood for the trees at the minute!

Rabbity thanks :-)

Over at As You LIke It the challenge is thank you cards. Seeing that gave me a little nudge and reminded me that I really needed to make a few of said cards. As my arm and hand are no better I'm trying to keep colouring to a minimum :-(

I used a lovely little LOTV digi (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/706452921/lotv-digi-stamp-gc-little-friends-rabbit?ref=shop_home_active_9&crt=1) and also used the little heart bunting also from LOTV.

I'm determined to get back to cardmaking this year. I have plenty stash to keep me going ;-)

Sassy, classy and . . .

So my Dad bought my daughter a bag for Christmas which had 'Sassy, Classy and a Little Bit Bad Assy' written on it and this sassy image makes me think of the bag!

I love this stamp from Polkadoodles and I've used it a tonne of times.

I have to confess that turning this into a shaker card was slightly more tricky than I had anticipated. I'd got to the removing the backing from the foam tape stage when my daughter, who NEVER want s to talk to me, suddenly decided to come for a chat. Distracted with our chat I pulled the backing off a piece of tape, the card moved and a thousand flipping sequins went miles!! Yikes. It took me for ever to remove sequins from the tape and get it stuck down. Life lesson learned.

The second life lesson I have learned this year is not to play hangman with a 6 year old who can't spell. Loving this year already!

Vintage Favourites

I'm starting the year by sharing three of my favourite cards from last year. They're all from the lovely male themed release from Lili of the Valley.(https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LotvDigiShop)

I used my most precious papers on these - you know the ones that are so lush that you just stroke them because they are way too nice to use!!

The image of the little boy in the hammock always makes me smile. It reminds of a story my Grandad used to tell me of being sent to Tripoli by boat as a soldier. He said all you could hear all night was the thud of soldiers falling out of their hammocks!
I think I might need to buy more of these papers - you can't have too many papers. Right?
