Father's Day/Male themed card over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog.

Thanks to all who played the last challenge; we had some really stunning entries. This fortnight we are wanting to see your Father's Day or Male themed cards. I was sent this sheet of decoupage from the new Jayne Netley Mayhew Summer decoupage pack. In all honesty I had a bit of a hissy fit, cut it out and then pushed it about the table for a few days!!!!! It's a lovely image, as are all the designs in the set, but I just had a total mental block on what to do with it.
I have used a real hotch potch of backing papers - no idea where the stripes are from but the mottled paper in the background is from the Glynn Williams 'Times Gone By' CD from Sheenie Towers. The green paper I embossed with one of the Die'sire 8"x8" embossing folders.

I'm not that happy with how this turned out but, with growth scans and swollen legs, I've got bigger problems!!! Hey ho.

As usual we have candy up for grabs and a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher for the lucky winner. I hope you get the chance to play along - for a chance to win that voucher if nothing else!!

Super big hugs, Jayne xxx

Get Well Soon over at Lili's Little Fairies

Thank you to everyone who played along last week - we had some really stunning entries :)

This week at Lili's Little Fairies it's 'Get Well Soon'. I tend only to make birthday cards so am always in a flat spin when someone wants a thank you or get well card in super quick time! I keep promising to make a stash of occasions cards - really must give that a bash!

Here's my effort for this week:
After selling this stamp on ebay I decided I really liked the image and have been cross with myself for selling it ever since! Sometimes, I'm just plain nuts!!
Obviously the image and sentiment are from LOTV and I've coloured with copics.

Hope you get the chance to play along this week, hugs, Jayne xx

Something Sweet over at A Little Bit Crafty!

So sorry for the late post - I've been off-line again :(  My technical issues are not yet over but I'm trying to remain calm (with the occasional rant!!!!). So, we have three great sponsors this month and a fab challenge; what more enticement could you need?

2 stamps of your choice
7 free digis

£15 voucher

My offering this month is the birthday card that my husband commissioned me to make for my own birthday! I love making my own cards - that way I can be assured that I will get cards that focus on my better points - few though they are :) Hehehe. I really love this Ice Cream and Pickles digi from Saturated Canary and it's perfect for my mahoosive pregnant self at the moment!!
The papers are from a Melissa Frances pad but I'm down to the last straggly bits of it so I don't know which one it is. The flowers and ribbon are from WOC and I've used those beautiful Memory Box hearts again!

I apologise for my late post. Hope that you're having a great weekend - I've been painting the nursery and assembling Ikea furniture !!! We must be nearly finished - surely? Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Purple and Yellow at Lili's Little Fairies!

I hope you can join us this week over at Lili's Little Fairies as we have a cracker of a challenge chosen by the lovely (but crackers) Squirrel! It's purple (my favourite) and yellow - what is not to love? Add to this the fact that we are being sponsored by the lovely ladies over at Dreamees and you have the chance to win a £10 gift voucher and really, what excuse could you have not to play along?

So, this is my offering for the week:

Image and sentiment from LOTV and I'm back to those delish Bella backing papers from Wild Rose Studio. Super yum. The flowers are from WOC and the butterfly is a Magnolia DooHickey. The heart dies are from Memory Box and were bought because fellow Fairy Lorraine B leads me astray. It doesn't take much!

I'm clearing all my craft stuff out of the study/craftroom as we have a new carpet coming on Friday and then we're off to get wardrobes and storage for the bump's bedroom. My husband caught me with a HUGE bag of craft CDs and one of stamps and said 'HOW MUCH HAVE YOU SPENT?' To the untrained eye it possibly did look quite a bit but I am sure you would have applauded my crafty restraint. It really isn't THAT much. I haven't mentioned the stuff I have stored in my wardrobe. Or tallboy. Or in the drawer of the bed. That can be our secret!!!!!

Enough of my random ramblings. I hope to see your fab purple and yellow creations and hope that you have a great week. Pop round if you fancy helping with a bit of DIY! Hugs, Jayne xx

Girls, Girls, Girls over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog!

Oooh, a fab challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog this fortnight - all things girly! Could there be a more tempting, easy peasy challenge? Frankly, I think not! And, with a £15 Sheenie voucher up for grabs, who could resist?

I am still battling ridiculous computer problems so Sheenie Paula sent me some images from the fabulous Daisy and Friends CD to work with. This one is quite CAS for me!

I coloured the image with copics and used spun sugar distress ink around the edges. The papers are from  Wild Rose Studio - Annabelle's Meadow I think! I really have got to stop buying paper, seriously, we are clearing out the third bedroom to turn it into a nursery and I have to re-home all my craft stuff. I'm having to hide it everywhere!!!!! It's not looking good.

Back to the card. The butterfly is a spellbinders die I got for my birthday :D The banner is the La La Land beautiful die that I could just not resist. Well, it doesn't take up much room and is the least of my worries!!!!

The DT have made some scrumptious cards this week and I hope that you have time to check them out. Thank you for visiting me - I do at least realise I am a really terrible blogger! Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Thank you over at Lili's Little Fairies!

This post starts with yet another apology! My daughter was sick all night on Tuesday and is off school at the mo - ooh what a jolly 40th birthday I will be having today!! She's mad keen on dominos so I guess I'll be getting soundly thrashed in that department!
Over at the Fairies we would like you to make a 'thank you' card - and PLEASE could you use a LOTV image/sentiment. We had lots of fab entries this week but lots didn't use an LOTV image :(

In brief (sorry, need to get back to the patient) the LOTV image is coloured with copics and the papers are by Melissa Frances. So sorry it's another quick post - will try and catch up with the blog when things are more settled here.

Quick update - HUGE thanks to Christine, Lorraine, Squirrel and Kate for your completely fabulous cards! I have the most gorgeous selection of cards ever! Mwah xx

Hugs, Jayne xx

Lace over at Lili's Little fairies!

Huge apologies that my post is both late and half finished! I decided to start painting the baby's room but as it's still stuffed full of furniture it was no easy task!! Still I've painted one wall and now can barely move!!! Ah, the joy :)

This week we have two Stamposaurus stamps to give away and all we want you to do is use some lace on your card. Easy peasy! This is my offering:
I think I only stopped throwing embellishments at this one when I ran out of room :) Still, I had fun! I used my new La La Land heart banner die - it's just yum scrum!

Apologies to leave the post unfinished but I now have to hot foot it to school to read with a bunch of reluctant 5/6 year olds. Let's hope they all stay above the table this week. Big sigh.

Hugs, Jayne xx
