A belated Merry Christmas!

Good grief, it's taken me days to get to the computer for long enough to post this card!! I have managed to do a bit of crafty type sale shopping though!!

I hope you've had a super Christmas and that Santa brought all that you wished for. I still didn't get John Cusack but I did get lots of crafty stuff so it's not all bad :D The girls had a great time and that's all a Mum needs really :D

So, this is the card I made using the LOTV Christmas baubles stamp and the NitWits 'Christmas Linen' Collection.

I love, love, love these bright, crisp papers. I cut the poinsettia spellbinder die out of felt and it was job done. I'm starting super early with the Christmas card making next year - I sold most of those I made this year but I didn't make anywhere near enough.

I have to get a wriggle on with a card for the A Little Bit Crafty January challenge where does time go?

Biggest of hugs, Jayne

Anything Goes over at the Crafty Little Fairies

Better late than never! I'm finally here with my Crafty Little Fairy post and this fortnight we're letting loose (!) with an 'Anything Goes' challenge. I had totally forgotten is was both teams this week and was thankful that this card was half done or I'd have been sunk this week! Must get my brain in gear!

I used the totally fabulous 'Romance and Roses' papers from the Nitwits Collections. I do love the soft pinks and greens in this one - all the papers are just so pretty and delicate. Yum!

Apologies for the hopeless photo - taken in a rush when I realised I had to do the post. I went a little bit mad with the flowers but I haven't made a card like this for ages so I went a bit crazy :D

This fortnight we are sponsored by:

I very much hope to see your fabulous creations over the next couple of weeks. I hope to be back tomorrow with a card using papers from the new Christmas Linen collection from Nitwits (it's totally gorge!!). Until then, big hugs, Jayne xxx

Sparkle and Shine over at A Little Bit Crafty midway reminder.

Apologies for a short post. I over did things yesterday and the pain in my side is back but I'm too nervous to take the mega painkillers from the hospital!! I may have to give 'em a go if it continues though :(

So, this is my card for the sparkle and shine challenge over at A Little Bit Crafty.

I've used the beautiful winter birds stamp from Stampendous - it's the first time I've coloured it and I think it needs quite a bit more practice. The papers are Back to Basics Christmas from Dovecraft and I've used the Spellbinders poinsettia die.
I was wondering whether this was CAS enough to enter into the Without Words challenge? Hmm. I might give it a go - it's CAS for me Squirrel!!!!!!

Make it Sparkle midway reminder over at Joanna Sheen!

I'm writing this post with a heavy heart as it is my last post for the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog. The 'Make it Sparkle' challenge is our last challenge as Joanna Sheen has decided to close down the blog. The DT are all gutted - as you can well imagine. I would like to take this opportunity to say how very much I've loved being on the DT and how fabulous all the girls are. A special thanks to Paula who is an outstanding DT leader and a complete super star of a woman!!!!

My offering for the challenge is from the House Mouse triple CD ROM - just how cute are these mice?

I hope that you get the chance to join us for this last challenge.Sniff  . . . . . .

Let it Snow over at Crafty Little Fairies

This week over at Crafty Little Fairies we want to see some snow on your cards for the 'Let it Snow' challenge.

I'm not thrilled with my offering and was going to do another card but have had a ridiculous week! I had hideous pain in my side on Tuesday and finally got dragged off to the doctors late afternoon. The doctor called an ambulance and I ended up in A and E for hours!!! Still, I got to play eye spy with Squirrel (over our mobile phones) so all was not lost!!! I know how to find the fun :D

I've used James the Bear with the 'Festive Trimmings' collection from NitWit Collections. A bit of pearl trim and that yummy Joy Crafts snowflake die and that's about it!

I hope you get the chance to join us this week. I'll be back when I'm feeling a bit more chipper! Hugs, Jayne  xxx

Christmas Cheer over at A Little Bit Crafty

We've gone all festive over at the A Little Bit Crafty Challenge Blog with a 'Christmas Cheer' challenge. In all honesty, with the crazy week I've had, this card was thrown together at the last minute! I try and get ahead with things but all you need is a couple of crazy weeks and you're back to cardmaking in a mad rush!!

I just love this Lili of the Valley stamp - it looks lovely in any colour combo :) The papers are the 'White Christmas' collection from Raspberry Road Designs - it is such a beautifully elegant set of papers. I've used my new favourite Joy Crafts snowflake die - just yummy. Other than that I've kept it quite simple - okay, so I'd have covered it in embellies if I'd had the time - But it's just about okay as it is :)

I really hope that you get the chance to join in with the challenge this month. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Make it Sparkle over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog.

There is a £30 Joanna Sheen voucher up for grabs for the winner of this months challenge so get making cards that sparkle! What more incentive could you need? All that we ask is that you make a card using Joanna Sheen products and you'll be in with a chance of winning :D

Here's my card:
I made this using the House Mouse Triple CD ROM available from Joanna Sheen's wobbly shelves! I love the images on the CD and this is one of my faves! The DT have made some beautiful cards for this challenge so check them out if you get chance.

Both girls seem to be on the mend but I'm totally shattered after a week of running around after poorly little people!! Hopefully this week will be less stressful :)

I hope you get the chance to play along this month. We'll be back on the 15th with a midway reminder and an important announcement from Paula. Big hugs, Jayne xxx

Traditional Christmas Colours over at the Crafty Little Fairies.

Ok, this week we want to see Christmas cards made in reds and green. Please can I also remind you that we would also like you to use a stamped or digi image. :)

I've gone for my new favourite stamp 'Snow Family' from LOTV given to me by the scrumptious Squirrel :D

I will hopefully be back at some point to finish the post but both my cherubs are off colour at the mo and the baby has vaccinations today :(

Hugs to all, Jayne xx

Festive Trimmings!

This is my first card using the yummy 'Festive Trimmings' collection which is a brand new release over at Nitwit Collections. Lots of soft greens and red - a nice twist to the traditional Christmas colours. I've teamed it with the 'Bella with sledge' stamp from Wild Rose Studio.
I love, love, love the red gingham paper! I've used a new snowflake die (Joy Crafts - Winter Wishes) and my favourite Christmas Tree die (Snow covered Stacker Tree from Dee's Distinctively).
Half way through colouring the image two of my grey copics ran out of steam! Disaster :( I'll have to manage without them for a bit as I can't visit Cult Pens without spending a fortune!!!

Hope that you're having a great week! Big hugs, Jayne xxx

A Little Bit Crafty 'Sparkle and Shine' mid-way reminder!

Over at the A Little Bit Crafty challenge blog this month we are hosting a 'sparkle and shine' challenge. How fabulous is that? Just my cup of tea! So here's my mid-way reminder:
I made this using the beautiful LOTV 'snow family' stamp sent to me by the very lovely Squirrel. :D Isn't it just the cutest image? It's been on my 'wish list' for ages and I was super giddy when it arrived! Thank you lovely, but crackers, lady!!

I've also used the new 'Hootie Holidays' papers from NitWit Collection. How cute are those little owls sat on the fence :D The papers are just the most delicious mix of pinks, greens and white with a sprinkling of owl cuteness!

Cards inspired by a Song over at the Crafty Little Fairies!

So this week over at the Crafty Little Fairies we are asking that you make a card inspired by a song. Easy peasy :D I've gone for 'Angel' by Aerosmith.
This is one of my favourite LOTV stamps - isn't she just delish?
I've used the Holiday Bouquet paper collection from NitWit Collections as the soft pinks and greens are just perfect for that subtle hint of colour. I've used the Spellbinders build a snowflake three die set along with a die-namics flourish but otherwise have kept it really simple (for me!).

This week we are sponsored by Iva Nova Chest and the Ribbon Girl - how cool is that? What more incentive do you need to enter? Looking forward to seeing all the entries this week :D

I'm back tomorrow with a Little Bit Crafty mid-way reminder using the brand new NitWit collection 'Hootie Holidays' - which is more yummy pinks and greens.

Hope you are doing well and having a great week. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Land Ho!

This is the card I made for my daughter's friend Lois who had her birthday party on Friday. It was a 'disco party' at a playgym and everyone had a fab time:)

The papers are from the NitWit Collections Land Ho collection, which is, as I mentioned in my last post, my absolute favourite collection of papers. There is something about making pirate cards that appeals to my inner 7 year old!!!!

I'm very hazy on the specific details of what I used as Isis is still not sleeping through the night and I feel like the walking dead!! This is what I think I used (so sorry!):
NitWit Collections - Land Ho Collection
Whimsy stamps - banner Pennant die
Magnolia pirate
Do crafts - Build a Scene - Nautical
Creative Expressions - Glass Bottle
Sizzix - Blackboard Blues alphabet
My Dad bought me the shells from Filey :)

The plan is to have an early night. I've just finished a mountain of ironing and now I'm shattered. The good news is that I lost 2lbs this week - yippee. At last I'm going in the right direction.

Thank you for stopping by; have a great week, hugs Jayne xxx

Friends Forever

I made this card for a very dear friend who was an enormous source of support through my very stressful pregnancy! I'm super lucky to have her in my life - and she sent me an LOTV stamp last week - what more could you ask of a friend? :D

I haven't used my Magnolia stamps for an absolute age and after colouring this I decided to colour some more! I think I got myself into a lazy crafty rut so I'm trying to use different styles of stamp for a bit of variety. I used the delicious papers from the NitWits Romance and Roses collection again. The colours are just scrummy :D

I'll hopefully be back later in the week with a pirate card for my daughter's friend Lois. I've used the Land Ho collection of papers which thankfully survived the computer virus we had a few months ago. Now I know I say a lot of papers are my favourite but the Land Ho collection really IS my favourite. Of all time! I'm off to find some shells to put the finishing touches to the card. Hope you have a great eveing and thank you so much for stopping by. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Food For Thought over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog!

Being on a diet, food seems to be constantly on my mind! I stuck to healthy food for the card and think that if were to stick to healthy food on my diet I might actually start losing some weight! Hey ho!

Anyhoo, this is my offering for the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog 'Food For Thought' Challenge:
I just LOVE this stamp set (Joanna Sheen, Country Kitchen 'Plum and Cherry Jam' :D It's not normally the sort of thing that I'd go for but it's great to colour and looks sort of olde worlde!!! The papers are a mix of the Royal Hoticultural Society and Jane Shasky Joanna Sheen CDs. I added the huge purple bow 'cos I just couldn't resist :D

There is a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher for the randomly selected winner - all you have to do to be eligible is to use a Joanna Sheen image on your card. I hope that you get the opportunity to join us this fortnight. Hugs, Jayne xx

Sparkle and Shine over at A Little Bit Crafty!

This month over at A Little Bit Crafty we want to see some creations featuring sparkle and shine. Now, that's my kinda challenge! We are sponsored by Pink Gem Designs and I have used one of their digis called Angel Jodie and coloured her with copics. Apologies for the photo, this was the last one taken before the camera completely died. I now have a new camera chosen for the very technical reason that it was purple!! My husband despairs!

I have used the Merry and Bright collection from NitWits - I love the paint chips with the sentiments on - what a genius idea! The holly, tree and presents are all part of the kit and make fabulous little embellishments. Indigo loves these papers and wants to give Isis this card for her first Christmas :D Poor Isis had her second round of vaccinations on Monday and has been grizzly ever since. We're just not used to her being glum - she's usually such a bundle of beautiful smiles and cheery gurgles!

We had a fabulous day yesterday. We went to the Royal Armouries and saw all the armour from across the ages. Indigo, who was dressed as a super scary witch, loved seeing Henry VIII's armour. She's into history at the mo and loves the story of Henry chopping off his wives heads!! Gotta love being 6! We then carved the most enormous pumpkin :D

I hope you find time to join us this month - we love seeing your stunning creations. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

For the One you Love over at Crafty Little Fairies!

Isn't it great when you can put all your absolute favourite things all on one card? I really enjoyed making this one - and I was dreading it because I wasn't too sure about the theme! I am just loving these pretty, delicate papers from the Romance and Roses collection over at NitWits and the fresh spring colours really suit this stamp. The image is 'Love Grows' from LOTV and I coloured it with copics. I've used my well loved Go Kreate XXL Frilly Frames No 10 die as I just love the shape - I'm after the XXL Frilly Frames No 6 set and am hoping that it somehow makes its way into my Christmas stocking!!!

I hope that you get the chance to play along with us this week, we're sponsored by the fabulous ladies over at Dreamees so it's well worth joining us to get the chance to win a Dreamees voucher. We had a huge number of entries last week and they were all stunning. We're really very grateful for all your support since we changed the blog - Squirrel has done the most amazing job at organizing everything :D  The DT call is still on this week so put DT after your entry if you want to join us!

I'm back tomorrow with an A Little Bit Crafty DT card using a super cute Pink Gem digi teamed with papers from the Merry and Bright collection at NitWit. It's such a hard life ;D Alas, I have to go and make a start on a mountain of ironing that must rival Everest in height. Hugs, Jayne xx

Dreaming of a pink Christmas!

Is there anything better than getting to play with beautiful papers? If you can only afford to buy one set of Christmas papers this year this one would be a great choice. It is just super scrummy. I'd tell you it was my favourite NitWits Collection but I have a lot of favourites :D!! The papers are from the new release and are called 'Holiday Bouquet'. I absolutely love the Christmas rose paper and the pinks are a huge hit with my daughter!

I've used a Wild Rose Studio stamp (Annabelle with Gifts) that I've had for ages but never inked! I coloured with copics but struggled a bit because of the carpal tunnel. If anyone has any miracle cures I'm all ears. I'm wearing wrist splints at night which are uncomfortable but at least I haven't woken in agony for the last couple of nights :D

I'll be back soon with a card I made using the Romance and Roses collection and a DT card for the Crafty Little Fairies. I'm not entirely sure that being on the NitWit DT is helping my paper obsession!

It's been a really fabulous but exhausting day. My daughter's friend spent the day with us and we went bowling, then onto the craft shop for make and takes followed by lunch at a cafe and finally home to spend the afternoon painting, playing and colouring! It's a great life being six!

Big hugs, Jayne xx

Apologies that this is the quickest post ever. I'm writing this on Wednesday evening and I'm absolutely shattered and moments away from hitting the sack!
