It's not often you see yellow on my blog!

Apologies if you have come here from Jacqui's blog in search of the goddess that is Jayne Nestorenko! I don't think Jayne's new blog is up and running yet and Jacqui has accidentally linked my blog instead!

I don't really get on with yellow. I don't know why - it affects me a bit like orange; instant dislike! Having said that, I'm quite liking these papers. Perhaps it's the acidic yellows I don't like; this is more creamy!!!!

The gorgeous papers are from Trimcraft  'The London Line' - it's a really pretty pack and not a dud in there! The stamp is, of course, Lili of the Valley. Butterflies seem such free spirited joyful creatures; or am I bonkers? I've coloured the stamp with copics and promarkers. I really must get some yellows that blend properly! The flowers and ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is from the Polkadoodles SugarPlum Daisy CD. I've used the Whimsy Stamp Banner Pennant die (again) I reckon it's another must have!!!!

Can I share with you a very joyful 'Mummy moment'?  My 4 year old daughter won star of the week at school this week. She has won it previously for literacy and numeracy but this weeks certificate meant sooooo much more because it's about who she is. The certificate reads ' Well done Indigo, you can always be relied upon to be smart and sensible, trying your best in everything. You are kind and caring towards others and always follow our core values'. By the time I got to kind and caring my lip was definitely wobbling! Great Grandma cried! We have our moments, we both have spectacular tempers but she has has a heart of absolute gold and I'm beyond grateful that she has been entrusted to me.

Sorry for going on! No more mushy stuff. Promise! I have lots of stamps and some CDs on ebay - more to go tomorrow. I need to raise funds for swimming lessons!

Big hugs to everyone; hope the week has been kind to you. Hugs, Jayne xx

You must be so proud of her!! Our kids have the ability to make us cry over all sorts of things. Being a mum might be the hardest job in the world but it is the most rewarding and just the best!!

Gorgeous card Jayne.

You deserve to wobble a wee bit. It's just brilliant when the wee ones come up with something like this - makes being a Mum worthwhile. :)

Beautiful, Jayne, love the yellow and turquoise. I'm not crafting at the minute as I have an xray on my leg tomorrow, it's dodgy! Fortunately I have all my DT cards made and scheduled for the next few weeks. Well done, Indigo. Hazel x

I so agree about yellow, but creamy yellow is different, and these papers prove it. Beautiful card! Had to laugh about the yellow markers to blend, they are not the ones I invest in either! So glad to hear that the school is giving your daughter that encouraging feedback that we all need to hear. I'd be crying too! Obviously it's a testimony to her, but also to your parenting.
