3-2-1 at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog

Apologies for the late and super quick post, I'm still feeling rough :(  This week we want to see cards with 3 papers, 2 embellishments/types of embellishment and one sentiment. I don't think one member of the DT was happy with what they made for this challenge! This card has been made using papers and images from the Holly Pond Hill CD ROM.
I think the less said about this one the better! There is a £15 Sheenie voucher up for grabs so why not head over to the challenge blog and give the challenge a whirl.
Big hugs, Jayne xx

It Takes Two over at Winter Wonderland.

Over at Winter Wonderland this week we'd like to see you use an image with two of something on - two animals or people. Easy peasy. I've gone for a scrummy Wild Rose Studio image teamed up with Wild Rose papers.

We are sponsored this week by Crafter's Companion, so, if you play along you're in with a chance of a £10 voucher.
I hope that you get the chance to join in, last weeks entries were fabulous. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Anything Goes over at Lili's Little Fairies!

Morning ladies! What a morning. I decided to go for a walk because being in doors all week has made me stir crazy - but whoa! The pavements are mounds of compacted ice, I must have looked ridiculous tottering along. At least I got some fresh air :)

So, this week it's Anything Goes at LLF so fill yer crafty boots and do what you fancy. We have a $10 Nitwit Collections voucher for the winner. I could really use that at the mo!

My mojo has taken an extended break and this is all I managed to come up with. I'm sure when I get over this blooming virus I'll get some crafty joy back.
The image is the beautiful 'Little Ballerina' from LOTV and she looks just like my little one in her ballet costume :) I do love this image, she has such a look of carefree joy. The papers are from an unknown source - I found them in one of my mountains of paper. The flowers and ribbon are from WOC.

Helping out at the school turned out to be great fun. My daughter loved having me there and all the children were giddy to have a new person in the class. Back in again tomorrow.

I still can't find my lost craft CD and I fell off the stash diet wagon and ordered the Sheena Douglass 4 day deal on Create and Craft. Bad girl. I am sooooooooooooooooo broke. :(

I hope you get the chance to join us this week and if you get chance go visit my DT sister's blogs as their creations this week are awesome. Big snowy hugs, Jayne xx

Birthday Kitten

Aww, how could you not love this little Kitty? She's the 'Birthday Kitten' stamp from Crafter's Companion Strawberry Kisses range. I've had this stamp since it came out and it's the first time she's been inked. Shame on me. I've had a bit of a blitz in my craft room and now can't find anything. I've lost a CD ROM I really need and all my stamps are in a complete mess stuffed into boxes. I have no idea how to arrange them so that I can actually FIND them! Ho hum.
The papers are from Wild Rose Studio and the sentiment is an LOTV sentiment tag. I've coloured the image with copics and added glossy accents to the icing and chunky ice glitter to the bun. Super yum!
I'm still feeling rough with this cough/sinus thing. I have to go back to the doc in a few days if no better for some yucky medicine!

A couple of months ago I rashly agreed to go and help out with an art project in my daughter's class. This afternoon will be my first session. How bad can it be? Wish me luck! Hugs, Jayne xx

Purple and Yellow.

So, I'm back to using the Nitwits 'Time For Tea' backing papers. It's not a colour combo I'm used to but I'm trying to have a go with different combos. My mojo has completely vacated the area. So far I've searched for it in the biscuit tin and fridge and it doesn't appear to be in either place. Hmm, I might have to search the bag of crisps next :)

The image is a recent purchase from LOTV. The card is for my best friend whose birthday is at the end of the month - we drink gallons of tea and coffee together and have done since high school so this seemed apt.

The ticket sentiment is from the Polkadoodles Sugarplum Daisy CD. I'm going to have to make myself make a card; I've hardly made any for weeks. I think I'm gonna have to dive in and hope for the best. Blimey, this could be a disaster!

Hope you're having a great week and managing to keep warm. I go nowhere without my hot water bottle and I don't care how odd I look!

Big hugs, Jayne xx

How excited was my daughter about drawing out the candy winner? She was beside herself! So, the winner is  . . . . . . .

Big hugs to you all. We have a new carpet being fitted tomorrow and I have a horrible feeling it's hideous. No hormonal woman should go carpet shopping! Jayne xx

First DT card for Winter Wonderland - Shopping Challenge

Well, my new year kicked off with a lovely surprise! Kate from Winter Wonderland asked me to join the DT! Yippee yae yay! Of course I said yes, and then was panic stricken that I wouldn't pass muster! I have to say that the team are absolutely lovely and Kate has been a huge help, for which I really super grateful.

This week the theme is 'Shopping' (what's not to love) and can be Christmas or non Christmas related! I've gone with Christmas because I didn't have nearly enough Christmas cards this year so I'm starting early!!

Our sponsor this week is:
My Crafty Heart
offering to the winner a £10 voucher

Here is a little bit about them
My Crafty Heart specialise in designer papers, quality stamps, dies and embellishments from all major crafting companies in the world.  Teresa, the owner of the store, who is a keen card maker herself, updates her shop regularly with new and exciting items, so why not pop into www.mycraftyheart.co.uk and see what's in store!"

I love this LOTV 'Skating Along' stamp - it could just be my tiny tearaway and our dog, Budleigh! I've coloured with copics (because I'm too scared to try distress inks). The papers are from a Kanban kit I bought years ago. The sentiment is from the Christmas grunge sentiment set at LOTV and the snowflake is the Spellbinders Create a Flake 3 set.

I hope very much you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the beautiful creations of my DT sisters! Big hugs, Jayne xx
