Peaches and Cream over at Lili's Little Fairies.

A super quick post before I head off to school to do some one-to-one reading with reluctant five year olds. I know how to find the fun!

So, it's peaches and cream over at Lili's Little Fairies. We did this theme last year at my suggestion and it was a complete nightmare! Very few of us could get hold of peachy papers and it turned into a drama!!! Anyhoo, I'm sure you will have more luck with the whole peach thing!

Okay, so this is more peach and green, but I did my best! The image is an oldie called Pom Pom from LOTV - she's still one of my faves. The papers are 'Princess Fairytale' from Dovecraft. I've used the Tim Holtz butterfly border die but now realise that I can't fit the card in a standard 6" square box. Duh!
I hope that you get the chance to join in this week. If you do please use an LOTV image; we had to discount sooooooooooo many lovely entries last week because they didn't feature an LOTV image :(

Big hugs, wish me luck with the reading! Jayne xx

Layer it Up at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog!

This fortnight's challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog is 'Layer it Up'. We either want to see some decoupage or lots of backing papers layered up on your creations. I went for both!!! I was sooooo giddy when I received the House Mouse CD 1 from Sheenie Towers for this challenge. I've already made a couple of cards with it and I really do love it! Sometimes when I'm not feeling that great a bit of CD crafting helps me find my mojo!
The papers and image are from the CD. I've used some WOC flowers and ribbon and a Magnolia Doohickey butterfly to embellish. Just how cute are these meece?
The DT girls have turned out some stunning creations this week so do pop along if you get the chance. There is a £15 Sheenie voucher up for grabs for the winner so why not join in this week?

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for coming to visit. I apologise for not visiting your blogs at the moment - I hope that healthwise I'm turning the corner and the good times are just around the corner. Fingers crossed. Big hugs, Jayne xxx

Butterflies at Lili's Little Fairies

This is such a fabulous challenge, I hope that you can play along this week.

I got a chance to use my new WOC flowers - hmm, they might be daisies! Anyhoo, they're very yummy! The acetate and gemmed up butterfly is new too :) I've been a bit of a naughty girl and bought new crafty stash but, in my defence, it has been a really stressful few weeks. The fact that I've just got my third cold sore in three weeks proves that fact!!

The scrummy image and sentiment are both from LOTV. The papers are from Wild Rose Studio and are my favourite papers of the moment.

Sheenie Towers sent me the House Mouse CD for this weeks Joanna Sheen Challenge and I've been printing and snipping like a mad woman!

Hope that you get the chance to join us this week. Please check out my DT sisters work - it's seriously delish this week! Go and see Squirrel - she's made a beautiful shaped card with her new Grand Calibur. Woohoo hun - how much fun is the Calibur and how many dies are on your wish list? :D

Hugs, Jayne xx

Pearls over at Lili's Little Fairies

Apologies for the slightly late post; I am turning into such a slacker. My BFF popped round at 2-30pm yesterday to find me fast asleep on the sofa! This really has to stop.

Over at Lili's Little Fairies this week we'd like to see some pearls on your cards. There's a £10 voucher for the gorgeous Ribbon Girls shop up for grabs so it's well worth entering :)

I bought this super cute LOTV stamp for my daughter for Christmas but she didn't seem to mind me borrowing it! I think it's my new favourite. The papers are Papermania Lucy Cromwell again. I really love this soft aqua/blue; perfect for a seaside theme. The lace, ribbon and some of the flowers are from WOC and the other bits are from my stash. I've coloured the image with copics. It's the first card I've made for ages and I don't hate it so that's a great start!

I was collared by my daughter's teacher yesterday to ask if I'd go in to do some one to one reading with some of the children. She said it would be a shame to let my CRB check go to waste!! Once they've got you that's it, isn't it? Still, it'll keep me out of mischief for at least one afternoon a week.

Hope you get a chance to play along this week, it's such a lovely challenge. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Too many stamps!

I am soooooooooo naughty. I have hundreds of stamps and they are in a terrible mess. It's taken me over half an hour to find the set I wanted. Grrrrrrr. And, I have just ordered tons more stamps. Ooops. Well, I figured that I was having such a lousy time of it I deserved some cheering up. I'm just a bad girl with no self control!

Here's a card I made weeks ago but never got around to posting.

The image is a digi from Crafts and Me and I've coloured it with copics. The beautiful butterfly border is the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Butterfly Border - it's my favourite! The papers are the Lucy Cromwell collection from Papermania. I've finished off with the usual Magnolia butterfly, WOC flowers and scrummy tulle.
We have snow so I abandoned my power walk and might try some crafting in the warm! Hugs, Jayne xx

Get in Shape over at Winter Wonderland

Apologies for being a very bad blogger. I'm still feeling really rough and on top of all the stress I've had an ear and sinus infection. Boy, have I been miserable!

Anyhoo, this week over at Winter Wonderland we would like to see you make a shaped card. This has been my favourite challenge - any excuse to get that Go Kreate XXL die out again. Unfortunately, in making this card the handle of my beloved Grand Calibur snapped in two :(  I have e-mailed spellbinders and hope they can point me in the direction of a new handle as I've trawled the net unsuccessfully.

The papers are from a Nitwit collection and the image is a real cutie from the Crafter's Companion SWALK collection. How cute are these penguins? This week we are sponsored by:

with this gorgeous valentine themed bundle

and

 Delicious Doodles
who are kindly offering a prize of 4 Digi images

The house is full of half finished cards and I've made nothing in weeks. I think this infection has zapped my mojo! Still, seeing your cards might just kick start my poorly mojo :)  I look forward to seeing your entries. Hugs, Jayne x
