Little Snow Bird!

I just love this little 'Snow Bird' from Stampendous. I've coloured him with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens - he looks way more sparkly in real life!
I used some Craftwork Cards papers that I've had since last year and some gorgeous gingham ribbon that I've had forever!

Hope you're having a fab weekend. We had one of my daughter's friends over for a playdate and went off to the park for a Halloween Trail followed by crafting :-) Hugs, Jayne x

Animal Magic over at Crafty Ribbons

This week over at Crafty Ribbons the lovely Marianne has chosen an animal theme :-) All you need is a card featuring an animal and some ribbon and you're good to enter!

I've gone for James Bear - because how could I not? There is a story behind the peculiar colour scheme ;-) I wanted to do some colouring at a playgym but found that I'd left most of my pens at home!!! So poor James ended up brown and red. Having said that - James always looks good!
I have used the fabulous Christmas doodle - Dear Santa ribbon :-) I think my letter to Santa might say much the same thing. Ha!

So that's me for today. I am sooooo behind with everything I'm in a total tizz. Deep breath time. xx

Super cute hedgies :-)

These guys are out on release from Lili of the Valley on the 28th October. Just love 'em!
I've teamed them up with some NitWit papers from various collections (some from the lovely Sue Hastead) and fab dotty ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

My pink pens are running out again. How is that possible?
Have a great day. Hugs, Jayne xx

Feeling blue!

This was one of my first samples for Crafter's Companion. I have to say it's been a very steep learning curve and I've felt completely out of my depth!! I used the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens on this one :-) As I mentioned on Facebook, I had no skin colours so I was a little panicked until I found all these fabulous digi images at Buddly Crafts.
I had a lot of brown pens, so trees featured quite a lot in my makes :-) !!!
I hope you've had a great weekend. Thank you for stopping by. Jayne xx

Mama Christmas!

I got to play with this fabulous Stampendous Mama Christmas stamp yesterday and I am totally in love! She is just fabulous :-) I also had my first go with Spectrum Noir markers. I have such a long way to go with the pens but at least I've made a start!
I used the Crafter's Companion Sara Signature Contemporary Christmas papers. They are such a pretty collection of papers using all my favourite colours.
Aww, can't wait to colour her again :-)

Thank you for stopping by! Hugs, Jayne

My Besties UK Challenge Same But Different

This month over at My Besties UK our challenge is Halloween/Anything Goes :-) Today is the day for our Same But Different Challenge where the DT all make cards with the same image. I love to see how the girls have used the images; it always amazes me how different our cards turn out :-)

I really loved this months image but I struggled for a long while with colouring the hair!
I loved her so much I even used my Maja Design papers!!
Aww, she is super pretty :-) The link to this digi can be found here.

Thank you for stopping by. Jayne xx

Christmas Challenge at LOTV

You have one more day to enter the Christmas challenge at LOTV - https://www.facebook.com/events/698071220340675/

This is my card featuring the lovely James Bear :-)
I love these papers but have no idea what they are because I only have scraps left :-(
Hope that you get the chance to join in. Hugs Jayne xx

Use Sepia Tones at Crafty Ribbons

This week over at Crafty Ribbons our challenge is to use Sepia Tones. I have to say I had a mini meltdown until lovely Lucy told me to just use brown!! Hahaha. Bless her - total meltdown averted!

I went with theses LOTV papers with one of my favourite LOTV images :-)
I've used some of the lush new Christmas Doodle ribbon (Merry Kiss-mas) which I think finishes the card off nicely.
I hope that you get a chance to join us - it's not as scary a challenge as it first appears ;-)

Thank you for all your well wishes for my Gran. They made 'em tough in the old days :-) We're taking a day at a time but she is looking sooo much better. We're trying to sort out various bits of care but it's a total nightmare and how people cope on their own is a mystery. The way the government treats the old and vulnerable is absolutely shameful and I've been utterly shocked by the whole episode. Anyhoo, I shall get off my soap box and see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by xxx

Drawer card

Here's an easel drawer card I had the ladies making in Sunday's class.
We used Crafter's Companion 'Contemporary Christmas' papers and a Sweet Dixie Snowman stamp.
Been so busy this week. Trying to divide my time between looking after Gran and finishing my first batch of samples for Crafter's Companion. It looks (fingers crossed) that Grandma is very slowly getting better.
Hope you're having a great week! Hugs, Jayne xx

Another Not So Random Squirrel Challenge :-)

For the next two months over at Squirrel's Not So Random Challenge we are hosting a White plus One Other Colour challenge. Now, before you go running for the hills (as I did) this isn't nearly as tricky as it sounds. You're allowed skin and hair colours :-) And with Christmas coming you could always use a snowman!!!

I've used a sweet Sugar Nellie image sent to me by the lovely Sue Hastead :-) It's the first time I've coloured her up and she's just lovely!
I thought for a dreadful minute I was going to have to go all CAS - but never fear, once I got going there was no stopping those embellishments from piling on :-) Phew!
You've got two months to enter so there's really NO excuse! Sending hugs, Jayne xx

Halloween At My Besties UK Challenge

Here's the thing. I love, love, love making Halloween cards :-) But just what do you do with them when you've made them? I don't have a Halloween party and I'm not sure who I'd send a happy Halloween card to. It's a puzzle. I do know a little girl whose birthday is on Halloween but is a Halloween card for a birthday the done thing?? But I really love making the cards and I love Halloween itself. I shall stop twittering.

This month over at My Besties UK Challenge Blog our challenge is Halloween with the usual Anything Goes alternative. I chose this image because I LOVE her :-)
You can find her here. I also used some digi papers from the Sherri Baldy etsy shop. All just utterly delish :-)
It's a fabulous challenge and there are some great prizes up for grabs!

Thank you for visiting :-) Hugs, Jayne x
