LOTV bunny :-)

I made some super quick cards with the new LOTV bunny flower stamps. This is the first of three.
I'm always scrabbling around for thank you cards and get well cards so I thought I'd leave the cards without sentiments so that I could use them in an emergency!!
I really have to get cracking with tidying the house and wrapping presents. Maybe I'll start tomorrow. Hugs, Jayne x

New release at LOTV

On Friday 16th LOTV released some stunning new stamps and digis :-) My favourite of the release has to be these cute bunny stamps (the bunny flower trio) although I love them all!!
Aww, aren't they just ridiculously cute??

I love the one in the middle!

I accidentally made a large Polkadoodle purchase so I'm off to put things on ebay!!!!

First monthly Kit and Clowder class

I finally signed up for the Kit and Clowder monthly class and I couldn't be more giddy! I learnt so much from this class and feel like I'm getting so much more out of my pens :-)

My Dad loves it and I think he's the only person I love enough to part with it!!! Love the cute Polkadoodles image too.

I have some samples to make for Crafter's Companion then I'm going to give this another try and work on all the bits I wasn't happy with :-)

Thanks for visiting. Hugs, Jayne xxx

Then and now over at Squirrel's Random Challenge.

For the next couple of months over at Squirrel's Random Challenge we are looking at how our crafty style has changed over the years by comparing a card we  made eons ago to one we just made - does that make sense??? Apologies, a string of bad nights with a poorly child has destroyed my brain!!!

So, I've used the lovely Pom Pom fairy from LOTV.
Love these Maja design papers :-) My style hasn't changed that much. I perhaps use less embellies now but that's because I have much less time for crafting :-( Given half a chance I love to plaster my cards with every embellie going!!!
And this is the card I made in 2012:
So that's me! Hope you get a chance to join us - how much fun is this challenge?

Holiday Cheer!

This is a box I made using the Crafter's Companion Advanced Projects DVD and their new Colorista Holiday USB. The USB is absolutely packed with images and cards to colour :-)

I coloured with the Colorista markers - it sure turned into a lengthy labour of love!!

That's me for today! Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Jayne xx

Christmas at Crafty Ribbons.

This week's challenge over at Crafty Ribbons is Christmas (with ribbon or lace). I finally got around to colouring this stunning image from Lili of the Valley. Oooh, she's my favourite (well, she is today!).
I used some papers I got from a magazine ages ago and the lovely Joy Crafts snowflake.
I used the beautiful organza Swiss Dot ribbon in tulip/white from Crafty Ribbons.

There is some beautiful ribbon up for grabs for the winner so I hope you get the chance to join us. Hugs, Jayne xx

Back to being happy :-)

After a stressful few days I'm back to feeling sane!!! I had a fabulous class on Sunday with a group of fantastic ladies and it reminded me of everything I love about crafting and why I started running the classes. Sometimes you just need a reminder!

This is another Hochanda sample using the Illustrator pens. Not my usual thing but I don't hate it!!

Butterfly Wishes

This was one of my samples for the new Spectrum Noir launch. I used the VBs and the DPs from the Vintage set which is absolutely my favourite.
I have crafty work up to my eyes at the moment and I'm getting nothing else done. Problem is, when you craft all the time you sometimes lose sight of why you loved crafting in the first place!!

Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Jayne x

I just went with the re part of the palette using the LOTV 1920s Christmas image (which you can find here.)

This stamp is a recent impulse purchase! I think she was an excellent choice!!
Best go - I am knee deep in Crafter's Companion colouring!!

New Spectrum Noirs :-)

I made this with the two new sets of Spectrum Noir pens :-) Both sets are beautiful although if I had to pick a favourite it would be the Vintage colours - super lush :-)
This Lili of the Valley stamp is such an old favourite!
There are some beautiful soft brown in the collection.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend xx

CAS!!!

Oooh this is so not like me! A CAS card - well, as CAS as I get. It was one of my samples for the Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Illustrator pen launch.
Really love this James Bear image and as I had no skin tone coloured pens as I was super glad I had James to colour :-)
I'm off to ring social services about reablement care for Gran. Wish me luck - I think I'll need it! Hope you're having a great week. Hugs, Jayne xx

Little Snow Bird!

I just love this little 'Snow Bird' from Stampendous. I've coloured him with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens - he looks way more sparkly in real life!
I used some Craftwork Cards papers that I've had since last year and some gorgeous gingham ribbon that I've had forever!

Hope you're having a fab weekend. We had one of my daughter's friends over for a playdate and went off to the park for a Halloween Trail followed by crafting :-) Hugs, Jayne x

Animal Magic over at Crafty Ribbons

This week over at Crafty Ribbons the lovely Marianne has chosen an animal theme :-) All you need is a card featuring an animal and some ribbon and you're good to enter!

I've gone for James Bear - because how could I not? There is a story behind the peculiar colour scheme ;-) I wanted to do some colouring at a playgym but found that I'd left most of my pens at home!!! So poor James ended up brown and red. Having said that - James always looks good!
I have used the fabulous Christmas doodle - Dear Santa ribbon :-) I think my letter to Santa might say much the same thing. Ha!

So that's me for today. I am sooooo behind with everything I'm in a total tizz. Deep breath time. xx

Super cute hedgies :-)

These guys are out on release from Lili of the Valley on the 28th October. Just love 'em!
I've teamed them up with some NitWit papers from various collections (some from the lovely Sue Hastead) and fab dotty ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

My pink pens are running out again. How is that possible?
Have a great day. Hugs, Jayne xx

Feeling blue!

This was one of my first samples for Crafter's Companion. I have to say it's been a very steep learning curve and I've felt completely out of my depth!! I used the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens on this one :-) As I mentioned on Facebook, I had no skin colours so I was a little panicked until I found all these fabulous digi images at Buddly Crafts.
I had a lot of brown pens, so trees featured quite a lot in my makes :-) !!!
I hope you've had a great weekend. Thank you for stopping by. Jayne xx

Mama Christmas!

I got to play with this fabulous Stampendous Mama Christmas stamp yesterday and I am totally in love! She is just fabulous :-) I also had my first go with Spectrum Noir markers. I have such a long way to go with the pens but at least I've made a start!
I used the Crafter's Companion Sara Signature Contemporary Christmas papers. They are such a pretty collection of papers using all my favourite colours.
Aww, can't wait to colour her again :-)

Thank you for stopping by! Hugs, Jayne

My Besties UK Challenge Same But Different

This month over at My Besties UK our challenge is Halloween/Anything Goes :-) Today is the day for our Same But Different Challenge where the DT all make cards with the same image. I love to see how the girls have used the images; it always amazes me how different our cards turn out :-)

I really loved this months image but I struggled for a long while with colouring the hair!
I loved her so much I even used my Maja Design papers!!
Aww, she is super pretty :-) The link to this digi can be found here.

You have one more day to enter the Christmas challenge at LOTV - https://www.facebook.com/events/698071220340675/

I love these papers but have no idea what they are because I only have scraps left :-(
Hope that you get the chance to join in. Hugs Jayne xx

Use Sepia Tones at Crafty Ribbons

This week over at Crafty Ribbons our challenge is to use Sepia Tones. I have to say I had a mini meltdown until lovely Lucy told me to just use brown!! Hahaha. Bless her - total meltdown averted!

I went with theses LOTV papers with one of my favourite LOTV images :-)
I've used some of the lush new Christmas Doodle ribbon (Merry Kiss-mas) which I think finishes the card off nicely.
I hope that you get a chance to join us - it's not as scary a challenge as it first appears ;-)

Thank you for all your well wishes for my Gran. They made 'em tough in the old days :-) We're taking a day at a time but she is looking sooo much better. We're trying to sort out various bits of care but it's a total nightmare and how people cope on their own is a mystery. The way the government treats the old and vulnerable is absolutely shameful and I've been utterly shocked by the whole episode. Anyhoo, I shall get off my soap box and see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by xxx

Drawer card

Here's an easel drawer card I had the ladies making in Sunday's class.
We used Crafter's Companion 'Contemporary Christmas' papers and a Sweet Dixie Snowman stamp.
Been so busy this week. Trying to divide my time between looking after Gran and finishing my first batch of samples for Crafter's Companion. It looks (fingers crossed) that Grandma is very slowly getting better.
Hope you're having a great week! Hugs, Jayne xx
