Purple and Yellow.

So, I'm back to using the Nitwits 'Time For Tea' backing papers. It's not a colour combo I'm used to but I'm trying to have a go with different combos. My mojo has completely vacated the area. So far I've searched for it in the biscuit tin and fridge and it doesn't appear to be in either place. Hmm, I might have to search the bag of crisps next :)

The image is a recent purchase from LOTV. The card is for my best friend whose birthday is at the end of the month - we drink gallons of tea and coffee together and have done since high school so this seemed apt.

The ticket sentiment is from the Polkadoodles Sugarplum Daisy CD. I'm going to have to make myself make a card; I've hardly made any for weeks. I think I'm gonna have to dive in and hope for the best. Blimey, this could be a disaster!

Hope you're having a great week and managing to keep warm. I go nowhere without my hot water bottle and I don't care how odd I look!

Big hugs, Jayne xx

How excited was my daughter about drawing out the candy winner? She was beside herself! So, the winner is  . . . . . . .

CraftyLark

So, lovely Flora who leaves me lots of nice comments is the winner. Please e-mail me at jpib4@sky.com with your address so that I can send the parcel off asap!

Thank you to everyone who joined in - it was great fun!

Big hugs to you all. We have a new carpet being fitted tomorrow and I have a horrible feeling it's hideous. No hormonal woman should go carpet shopping! Jayne xx

First DT card for Winter Wonderland - Shopping Challenge

Well, my new year kicked off with a lovely surprise! Kate from Winter Wonderland asked me to join the DT! Yippee yae yay! Of course I said yes, and then was panic stricken that I wouldn't pass muster! I have to say that the team are absolutely lovely and Kate has been a huge help, for which I really super grateful.

This week the theme is 'Shopping' (what's not to love) and can be Christmas or non Christmas related! I've gone with Christmas because I didn't have nearly enough Christmas cards this year so I'm starting early!!

Our sponsor this week is:
My Crafty Heart
offering to the winner a £10 voucher

Here is a little bit about them
My Crafty Heart specialise in designer papers, quality stamps, dies and embellishments from all major crafting companies in the world.  Teresa, the owner of the store, who is a keen card maker herself, updates her shop regularly with new and exciting items, so why not pop into www.mycraftyheart.co.uk and see what's in store!"

I love this LOTV 'Skating Along' stamp - it could just be my tiny tearaway and our dog, Budleigh! I've coloured with copics (because I'm too scared to try distress inks). The papers are from a Kanban kit I bought years ago. The sentiment is from the Christmas grunge sentiment set at LOTV and the snowflake is the Spellbinders Create a Flake 3 set.

I hope very much you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the beautiful creations of my DT sisters! Big hugs, Jayne xx

Use a charm or use 2 backing papers over at Lili's Little Fairies!

Please excuse the confusion this week, we are without Mummy Fairy at the moment which means we don't have access to Mr Linky, but if you want to join in please leave a link to your blog in the comments box! Sorry for the faff!

The themes this week are: use a charm OR use 2 backing papers. I've used a compass charm and have made a boys card because I'm down to the last one in my box! This was also a good excuse to use the new 'build a scene' die set I bought from Docrafts (I'm gonna be using it often as it cost a fortune and I literally had to copper up for it - the shame!).
I've used a Docrafts Kraft stepper card and the papers are the Nitwits Land Ho collection. The ship and anchor are both from the Docrafts build a scene die set and I've used the Tim Holtz Vintage Market alphabet die set for 'Ahoy'! The image is, of course, LOTV (walk the plank, I think).
The themes leave you lots of scope this week so I really hope that you get the chance to play along. Don't forget to visit my DT sisters blogs to see their fab creations this week.

Big hugs, Jayne

PS. I'll be back tomorrow with a nice surprise and the winner of my blog candy xxxx

New Home!

This is one of the cards I had been commissioned to do - it's taken me three weeks to get around to it! I'm still under the weather and it feels like I'm wading through sludge every day! Anyhoo, 'tis done and I'm super glad!
The stamp is from a Polkadoodles Pen and Circle Magazine and Stamp set, which has turned out to be jolly useful. I've coloured with my trusty copics (man, I'm rusty with the old pens at the mo!). The papers are Wild Rose Studio 'Love Letters'. The pretty border is the Memory Box spring border die; I sure am glad I invested in this one, it's been one of my best crafty buys. Just to be nosy, what do you consider to be your best crafty buy of recent times? The flowers and ribbon are from WOC.

Now, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have run out of lilac and pink ribbon and am low on flowers and have totally run out of rose buds. I know, what a trauma! I have also run out funds :(  The question is, will you still visit me when my cards feature one flower and no ribbon? I can hardly bring myself to think of it!

Super hugs to all, Jayne xxx

Happy New Year!

This is the first card I've made in weeks! I don't think I'd have summoned up the energy if lovely chief Sheenie Paula had not sent these scrummy papers and embellies! They matched this Saturated Canary image that I'd coloured ages ago perfectly, so it would have been rude not to use them! So this is Pricilla Pie - not the best thing I've made but given how awful I feel at the mo I'm just glad I made something!!!!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! Thank you for stopping by; hopefully when I recover from this virus I'll get back into the crafty swing of things! Big hugs, Jayne xx
