Power Poppy Bouquet

Learning a new skill, I have decided, is a long job! I'm still going with the prismapencils. I like them far more than the Spectrum Noir colourblend pencils - they certainly seem creamier and easier to blend. I'm still new to them and am glad that I found the Kit and Clowder classes ;-) This is the September pencils class.

This was the September Copic class (image also from Power Poppy).
Can you imagine how much housework has gone undone! Lol!

Both cards have gone to ladies in my crafting class who had 'big' birthdays this month :-) Jayne xxx

I made these cards using the new Thoroughly Modern Misses from LOTV :-)
The bottom two are Miss February :-)

Having such a busy (but fabulous) half term. I'll need a rest when the girls go back to school! Jayne xx

LOTV colour challenge on Facebook

Over on LOTV's FB page they are having a colour challenge. We want to see cards made with red, green and yellow. To join in follow this link : https://www.facebook.com/events/1390443091072514/

My card features the Happy Reindeer:

I'm not usually fan of green but these papers are kinda growing on me!
Love this cute little stamp :-)

Hope you've had a great weekend - how can it be nearly Monday???? Jayne xx

Christmas Cutie

Nearly back to school time :-( My little one starts school this time - she's only just turned four and seems sooooo young! I'm sure she'll be fine - I'll feel better on Wednesday night when we've got day one done. The teacher has asked me to go in and help out with painting and in a moment of madness I said yes!

Today's card is using the free stamps you get with the Hunkydory magazine and the Christmas Cutie set. I tried to use some techniques I learnt from Kit and Clowder classes to help with the polar bear and reindeer although I confess to rushing the colouring as I needed to finish it!

Hope you're having a good week, hugs, Jayne xx

2 classes in 1 month!

Finished my second Kit and Clowder this month - you should see the state of the house! Eeek. I am officially the worst housewife ever. Sigh.
Really recommend this class. I learnt such a lot and colouring the wings was so much fun.

Right, I may have to tackle the ironing now. And then the vacuuming. Then cleaning . . .  :-(

Finished at last :-)

I finally completed this Connie Fong mermaid which is a colouring class at Kit and Clowder. I kept going wrong and giving up - but with a little encouragement from the Clowdies I eventually finished.
We had crazy thunder last night - nobody else in the house woke but me. It was insanely loud - shook the house- I have no idea how everyone else slept through it!

Going Crackers!

I made this box for some crackers that I made for the release of this month's Hunkydory For the Love of Stamps release. This was using the Christmas Cuties set.
The problem now is that my little girl wants me to make her some crackers!
I've added a joke from the cracker stamp set in each cracker.

I've had to cut back on DT work as I'm struggling with M.E. Hopefully I'll turn a corner soon! Hugs, Jayne xxx

I'm entering this into:
Winter Wonderland - Use ribbon, lace or twine - I've used ribbon on the crackers
ABC Christmas Challenge - P, Q, R - R if for Red
As You Like It - Favourite Colour Combo - At the moment I'm making Christmas cards and Red and White is favourite at the moment because it looks fresh and cheery - essential for Christmas Cards.

Oooh it's new release time over at LOTV. I bought myself 7 digis for £10 :-) How awesome is that? Anyhoo, this is one of my cards that I made for the new release.
I used the utterly scrumptious 'Cosy Penguin' image with 'Frosty Christmas' papers. I just love this release.
Hugs, Jayne x

I'm entering this into:

ABCchristmas challenge - N is for New O is for Old - the digi is new and the papers are old :-)
Weekly Christmas Card challenges #17
Winter Wonderland - Use a digi
The Ribbon Girl - Use an image
A Snowflakes Promise - Challenge 42 - Anything Goes
As You like it - Do you prefer gems or pearls - I use pearls mostly because they always look super elegant :-)

Ooops!

Oh my goodness, it's been nearly a month since I last posted! I am just hopeless. I shall hang my head in shame after I've finished this post!

This is a card I made using the Beside the Seaside stamp set which is available with the new Hunkydory For the of Stamps magazine.

I haven't made one of these cards before and it took a bit of wrestling with!
Absolutely love this set :-)

I have two cards featured in the magazine :-) I'm so grateful to all at Hunkydory; it's a super friendly team and they treat the DT very well.

Woodware Wedding!

Tomorrow I'm making this card with my lovely craft class. I have 10 pages of instructions - lots of pictures - so I'm hoping it goes well.
I apologise for not visiting blogs - it's been the craziest few months and I'm permanently exhausted!
Hope you're having a great weekend. Hugs xxx

Late again!

Seriously, I'm going to have to start writing everything down - I keep missing things :-( So, I was supposed to post this yesterday. It's for the LOTV facebook 'Birthday' challenge. Follow the link to play: https://www.facebook.com/events/202359133604912/

I really love this cute image and these papers are just yum!

Hope you have a great weekend. Hugs, Jayne xx

Two's Company

On May 20th LOTV are releasing some new images - happy dance! The Design Collective have made some stunning cards and I can't wait for the release :-) I've made two cards with the beautiful 'Two's Company' image.

I used the night sky technique from the August 2016 Kit and Clowder class to help with the background. It was my first go but I love how it changes the image. I'm definitely going to give this another try - much to improve on but I love the idea!

I made this one using the clouds from the Hunkydory 'Another Year Taller' stamp set. Such a sweet image - I love how the little bear is gazing up at the school :-)

Hugs, Jayne xx

Baby, baby!

Today I've got another card using the new Hunkydory stamps. This time it's the Noah Arc and Sew Special sets.
I used an MDF baby gro plaque from Anna Marie designs to use as the card template.

'Fantasy' Challenge at Squirrel's Not so Random Challenge

Jeepers it's been a busy weekend - crazy - and that's why my post is several hours late. Ooops. Sorry. So for the next couple of months Squirrel's Not So Random Challenge is about 'Fantasy'. Think mermaids, gnomes, unicorns - and I suggested husbands that do the washing up!!!
I love doing this fold :-)

I used the following Hunkydory stamp sets: Home in a Dome, Wishing Well and Another Year Taller. I left Crafter's Companion a couple of weeks ago and have just started a six month stint on the Hunkydory For the Love of Stamps DT and couldn't be happier.

Hope you're having a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend. If you fancy joining in the challenge follow the link: http://squirrel10.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/snsrc-5-fantasy.html

Cheery gnomes!

Good grief, what a crazy busy Easter holiday that was! I need a good rest now ;-) I'm here today with a Crafty Ribbons card. I've used the Garden Gnome ribbon with these fabulous MFT 'You Gnome Me' stamps (thank you Squirrel x).
I have way too many busy jobs to do today :-( May have a cup of tea to get me going!! Hope you have a great week xxx

Superheroes to the rescue!

I love a bit of stamping - even when I'm dizzy! These Hunkydory superheroes are just the perfect addition to a pop up box :-)
I've teamed the stamps up with some super bright Craftwork Cards papers (Celebration kit I think).
Hope you had a fabulous Easter weekend. Thanks for stopping by, hugs, Jayne xxx

Hyacinth Sprite

We're moving into the last days of Squirrel's Spring Fever challenge. This Aurora Wings 'Hyacinth Sprite' is perfect for the challenge.
Oh my, I love her soooooo much!  How pretty is that 'hair'?

I've spent the weekend happily stamping and colouring. A trip to the cinema set off a really horrid bout of dizziness so I'm taking things a bit easier and doing small bursts of activity - I'm not a fan of constant nausea - it's like being pregnant!

You still have 12 days to join us :-) Hugs, Jayne xx

First prismacolor pencil class

Ooooh, I've had a naughty week of slacking with the housework whilst I finish my first Kit and Clowder pencil class. In my defence I'm using it for my Mother-in-Laws Mother's Day card so I did need to finish it!!
It's the second thing I've attempted with the pencils and I really feel like i'm getting the hang of them. Can't believe I've avoided them for so long.

I highly recommend the classes at Kit and Clowder. My copics and Prismacolor pencils cost a fortune and I'm determined to get the most out of them :-)

Sorry I haven't visited anyone in blogland for an age - life has been crazy the last few months but I'm making changes. I'm a girl with a plan. Be scared!!! Hugs xxxxxx

Retro Cars

Super fast card today using the retro cars ribbon from Crafty Ribbons as toppers. I used an Inkylicious script stamp for the background and it was job done :-)

Thank you for visiting xxxx

LOTV sneak peek!

LOTV have a new release due out at the end of this month - happy dance! I was lucky enough to get to play with the new sentiment and wedding trio.
These images are perfect with the Romance and Roses papers from NitWit Collections :-)
Ahhh, just super cute :-) xx

Finally finished :-)

I finally finished my January Kit and Clowder colouring class - I feel like I've been colouring forever! So glad I kept going back to it and I did learn a lot - I've never used blending solution on a background before :-)
I'm going to look for an LOTV fairy that I can use this technique with.

I'm still coughing and spluttering and driving myself nuts! I'm staying away from housework too - it's seriously bad for my health. Whilst trying to extricate the ironing board from the under stairs cupboard the vacuum fell over and hit me on the head and then when I started ironing I ran over my finger with the iron. See, it's really too dangerous! I'm off to make a cuppa and do some colouring xxx

Love is . . . .

This month our theme for the LOTV facebook challenge is love :-) I love nothing more than my crazy girls so I chose to make a new baby card using this super cute image (cosy pram).
I even used my new Polkadoodles paper pad!
I've spent days prepping for my craft class next Sunday. I still haven't finished and am beginning to wonder whether I've lost my mind completely!!!! I shall soldier on tomorrow :-)

Hope you have a great week, hugs Jayne xx

Playing with the lllustrator pens :-)

Today I've got this super cutie from Polkadoodles teamed up with NitWit papers. I coloured her up with the Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens (skin - RB1, FS7, FS8, FS9, PP1. Dress - BT5, AB1, AB3. Hair EB7, GB9, EB2)

I've still got this rotten cold - it doesn't seem to be going anywhere!!! The window cleaner informed me that it's 'going round'!!
Hope that you're having a fab week. Hugs, Jayne xx

Lili of the Valley new release!

Whoopeeeeeee! I found the link to the fold my lovelies :-) http://jenniferds.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/tutorial-thursday-exploding-card.html

This is one of the soon to be released stamps/digis from Lili of the Valley (released 28th January - whoopeeeee!)
Such a beautiful, elegant image :-)

Loving this new fold. I bookmarked the page with the instructions but now I've lost it! I think I found it on a blog by a lady called Jennifer but I'm hazy on the detail - as you are when you get giddy!!!!

I promise not to embark on a 'death by photo' post!!

Right, that's me. I really am going to try and be a better blogger. Sigh. Thank you for visiting me. Hugs, Jayne xx
