Bow Card

After seeing one of these bow cards in Making Cards magazine I knew I had to give it a whirl - I love a template :-) A lovely lady called Sandra sells the template (and many more) here. Anyhoo, after much downloading and cutting this is what I came up with:

I used an LOTV image and the very lovely 'Cottage Garden Collection' papers from NitWit Collections.

I'm gonna kill you with pictures because it's quite a construction!

I can see these becoming an addiction. Now I just have to make a box for it!

Instead of using a tube of glue gel to raise the central image I made a little box to sit the image onto!

Phew. I may leave it a couple of days before I embark on another!!

Flowers over at Crafty Ribbons

This is my first DT post for Crafty Ribbons :-) I have to say the the DT are the friendliest ladies you could meet and I'm super happy to be joining such a talented team.

This weeks challenge is 'Flowers'. Super easy - just don't forget to use ribbon or lace.

I've used Seam Binding in pretty Lotus Pink which you can find here. The papers are the remnants of my Maja Design purchase.

I love this LOTV stamp and can't believe it's been discontinued :-(

Pretty in Pink

I downloaded the beautiful' Cottage Garden' collection from NitWit Collections a few days ago and thought it would be perfect with this stamp. Oooh these papers are just delish :-)

Wild Things Challenge

Today is the first day of Squirrel's 'Wild Things' Challenge. It's one of her marvellous random challenges she springs upon us from time to time. I think this one may be, in part, to cheer me up! It's a fab theme which covers all sorts of things; wild animals, birds, flowers - party people :-)

I'm a little frazzled today. My Dad was admitted into hospital yesterday and I had a class today. My phone has rung constantly and getting information at the hospital has been hard going. At the moment we think he's had a minor stroke. Hopefully we'll have more info tomorrow.

What a week! Crazy busy and poorly children is really not a good combination. So glad it's Friday; I really think the girls need a rest.

Facebook LOTV Challenge - Sketch

Have you joined in the sketch Challenge over on the LOTV Facebook page yet? There's still plenty of time :-)


This month it's a sketch which, I think, can be a bit daunting. I have to admit that I was a bit panicked when I saw it!!! Anyhoo, it turned out fine in the end (once I turned the sketch upside down!!).

I just love this 'Annabel Camping' stamp - and that dog is just the bees knees! I had a bit of a strop at one point with the background but I get faffing until I just about averted disaster. Sorry, it's been one of those weeks!

White on White at Winter Wonderland

Gosh, I made this and then nearly forgot to post it! D'oh!!

I've used my new Memory Box Country Landscape die which I bought for an upcoming class. It's super versatile and I love it.

I really can't get the hang of photographing WOW :-(

What busy jobs?

Hmmm, so this is what I made on Friday when I should have been getting on with a mountain of 'busy' jobs!!! Oh dear - I have no self control! In my defence I was trying out the die in the hope that I could come up with something for a class. So it was work. Sort of!

The die is the petite striplet - jubilee- die from Creative Expressions and I've teamed it up with the Belle of the Ball stamp also from Creative Expressions. I really love the red and white :-)

I coloured the dress with copics and then covered it in spectrum noir clear sparkle pen.

It's a bit different for me but I enjoyed making it.
