Isabelle Loves Ice Cream :-)

Mmm, oooh, I sure could do with an ice cream like that :-) My diet is soooo not going well! I made this card for the Stampingbella 'Bellarific Friday' birthday wishes challenge. I've used Isabelle Loves Ice Cream and the Craftwork Cards 'More than Words' collection.

I coloured this up months ago and shoved it in the bottom of my stamping box because I didn't think it was good enough to use. Then I realised that most non crafters don't really mind how something is coloured - if it's all in the lines then it's fine :-) So I'm using it!
I used some spectrum noir sparkle pen on the ice cream.

Purple poinsettia!

So, I started this card last November, did a bit last week and finally finished it yesterday!!!! The photo isn't very good - apologies.
I used all manner of Sue Wilson dies and a random flourish die (I've lost the packaging!)
I pasted the poinsettia with a spectrum noir clear sparkle pen :-)

A sad goodbye to my beautiful boy

We finally had to say goodbye to our beautiful fur baby on Monday evening. The sudden onset of an eye condition on Monday, coupled with the advancing cancer and heart disease, forced us to make the heartbreaking decision.

He was, like me, built for comfort. And eating. And snuggling up on the sofa. Had he been a man, I would most definitely have married him! He was my constant companion for nearly 11 years and I loved him completely. Our hearts are broken and we miss him terribly but I feel so incredibly fortunate to have had such an amazing friend in my life.

I am very grateful to all of you who have left messages of support over the last few months. Jayne xxx

Pink Christmas hats :-)

I'm combining two challenge themes for today's card. Winter Wonderland want to see pink or blue cards and ABC Christmas Challenge want to see Christmas hats.
These pretty papers (NitWit Collections Holiday Bouquet Collection) are a lovely shade on pink in real life - don't know why they're so washed out in the picture.
Ahh, just love LOTVs James :-)

Up, Up and Away :-)

I put this card on Facebook and then forgot to blog it - dopey!!! I've used a Dreamees stamp set for the sentiment and balloons (and some shrink plastic :-) )
I used some acetate and alcohol inks for the background - it's been ages since I used alcohol inks.
I'm off to make a Christmas card!!

Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Jayne xx

Winter Wonderland Bauble challenge :-)

So, I have resolved to play along at Winter Wonderland and ABC Christmas Challenge Blog as often as possible to try to keep the motivation up with the Christmas card making. Actually, I 've found that when I'm this tired and run down, having a specific objective really helps me make something :-)

So, today I have the beautiful snowman family from LOTV paired up with LOTV papers - soooo wish I had ordered more of this pad before they stopped making them :-( I love this stamp; firstly it's one of my faves and secondly Squirrel bought it as a surprise gift so it always makes me think of her :-)
I was really tired so I kept it very simple but I like it!
Oooh, I've been playing with shrink plastic, acetate and alcohol inks this week! I have an idea for a class and I've been super giddy. It'll be death by hot air balloons and shrink plastic over the next few weeks on this blog. You may want to avoid me altogether!

Sending hugs, Jayne xxx

'Twas The Night . .

Ahh, the sound of silence! My big girl is at school and the little one is at pre-school this morning so I can hear myself think for the first time in over 2 weeks! What a holiday that was - crazy busy and crafting with breakfast :-)

I am playing along with the ABC Christmas Challenge blog this week. They wanted to see green or gold. Hmm, rubbish photo alert!! This was taken on my phone - apologies. I'll take a better one tonight.
I've used the NitWit Collections 'Twas The Night papers and the Holly Tree stamp from LOTV. Think this stamp might have been discontinued :-(

I'll attempt to link this up to the ABC Christmas Green/Gold challenge :-) This is a great way to crack on with the Christmas cards - I resolve not to be in the same mess as last year ever again. Honest.

Cheery Chubby Penguin!

How cute is this little man?? I think he's just fab.
I'm playing along this week at Winter Wonderland who want to see embossing. I've embossed the backing paper with my X Cut snowflake pattern embossing folder :-)

Little Monster!

This is the second card we'll be making on Sunday's class.I enjoyed making this one so much. I used aqua markers for the the background and then used acrylic paint and pen lids and a store card to decorate. Loved this technique and am so glad I saw it in Making Cards Magazine.
I coloured the Crafter's Companion 'Little Monster' stamp with Copics.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope you're having a great week. Hugs, Jayne xx

LOTV April Facebook Challenge

How is it April already? This year is flying by. There is a new challenge kicking off today over on the LOTV Facebook page. We want to see cards using three of the following colours: A - aqua, P - pink, R - red, I - ivory, L - lilac :-)

I've used LOTV Odd Dog Balloon and the Up, Up and Away papers from the fabulous NitWit Collections.

I made a tent card; eventually!!! I really struggled with the colour combo but I think I got fixated with red and ivory and got in a flap!! It worked out in the end!
This is my favourite of the Odd Dog collection. Speaking of dogs, the chemo stopped working for my little doggie and so we've decided to try a new drug trial. He's doing really well and for the most part he's his usual self. Given that we were told back in September we were looking at a survival rate of 3-6 months I think he's doing great!
So that's me for today. There are lots of fab prizes up for grabs and I really hope that you can join us. You have until April 17th when the challenge closes. Sending hugs, Jayne xx
