Water Baby

Today I have a card which teams the beautiful new Daisy Collection papers from NitWit Collections with the LOTV stamp Little Ducky.
The sentiment and cute little shoes are from the LOTV clear stamp set 'Babies'.
Apologies for the super short post. I'm not sleeping and feel absolutely rubbish! Hope that you're having a great week. Big hugs, Jayne x

Baby bunny!

Oooh, this is the first tent card I've made that doesn't fall over :-) Awesome! I'm practising because I'm making a tent card in my first class in a couple of weeks time. Eeek!
I've used the very scrumptious Maja Design 'Coffee in the Arbour - White Daisies' paper. Yum! I've dabbed some Ranger Malted Milk acrylic paint around the edges because the 12" paper was edged but when I cut it, it was only edged on two sides and looked decidedly odd!!! The stamp is from the LOTV 'Babies' clear set of stamps and shamefully it's the first time it's been inked. The word is from a Woodware set - patchwork baby elephant, I think. The baby clothes in the aperture is the Memory Bo baby clothes die - 98628.
I'm going to make another tent card and write down all the instructions so that I'm good to go for the class. We'll also be making a card with a Woodware heart stamp and lots of buttons which I'll photograph. I didn't write up any instructions because I didn't think anyone would sign up for the class!
Big thank you to Lorraine at Mrs B's blog for telling me what yellow promarker pens she uses, I like these better than the copic yellows.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your visit. Hugs. Jayne xx

New Favourite :-)

Hmm, did I not tell you that Little Lucy had led me astray? Well, in the last couple of weeks I've bought two new Gorjuss stamps and this one, 'Dear Alice' is my current favourite. She is just super beautiful.
I was super organised this time and picked out papers before I started and then when it came to putting the card together I decided to go all CAS. I may have had a funny turn!!
I've used an LOTV sentiment and a button from Hobbycraft - a bag for £1 and I so wish I'd bought more that one. Doh!

The sun is shining and me and the little one have been out and about; up to the bun shop and then to Great Grandma's for a cuppa and lots of playing in the garden. Happy days :-)

Hope that you're having a fab week. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment :-) Hugs, Jayne xx

Primulas and Bluebells

Good morning!  We are off to the park this morning but it feels a bit chillier than I was expecting - might be crazy hat weather :-)

This morning I'm sharing another LOTV flower card. This one is Primulas and Bluebells teamed with Melissa Frances 'C'est La Vie' papers (which I've had forever but are sooooo pretty I can't usually bring myself to cut them!!!).

I've even hand stitched the papers - I may have to stop with that, I end up with way too many injuries ;-)

The lovely manager at my local Samuel Taylor's has asked me if I would like to teach some craft classes so I am currently freaking out and trying to get some samples together of what I might do. Hopefully, when my big girl goes back to school net week I might get five minutes peace to work something out. That's if my little climbing monkey ever goes to sleep in the afternoon. Ahh, life is top fun :-)

Hope that you're having a great weekend. I hope to get back to blog visiting this next week - apologies for my absence. Hugs, Jayne x

A quick card for Bellarific Friday!

Yhis week at Bellarific Friday the challenge was 'Birthday wishes'. Having both girls at home I have managed to get next to nothing achieved so this was made in the blink of an eye when one was watching Stampylongnose on Youtube and the other watched Waybaloo :-)
I couldn't resist these pretty papers from the Daffodil Joy set at NitWit Collections. The iamge is 'Posh has a present' from the Stampingbella Uptown Girl range. I got some bargain buttons from Hobbycraft so stuck one of those on an LOTV sentiment and it was job done!

I'm hoping to have a craft stall at the school Summer Fayre and want a box of £1 cards for Action Duchenne so this will be perfect. I need to get my skates on and make some more simple/quick cards.

Thank you for stopping by. I'm really sorry that I haven't been visiting you over the last couple of weeks - it's been permanent chaos here! Sending the biggest hug, Jayne xxx

Inspired by Lucy :-)

Have you visited Lucy's blog lately? Well, she's been making some stunning cards using Gorjuss stamps - I am blaming her entirely for me falling off the 'stash diet' again! I've made a card using Gorjuss 'Ladybird' and just had to buy another from the new collection which has been inked up and is ready to colour (it's still the Easter hols so I don't think that is going to happen this week)!!!
I've used paper from the Papermania Capsule Collection 'Eau de Nil' and the Die-namics 'Plentiful Petals' die. The sentiment is from LOTV and is from a set that fits inside the oriental scroll (which is on my wishlist).
It's chaos here today. The little one has taken to drawing on everything - particularly herself and the big one is full of beans!

Thank you for stopping by, hope that you're having a good week. Hugs, Jayne x

Bellarific Friday Challenge

This week over at the Stampingbella 'Bellarific Friday' challenge there is a sketch for inspiration. This card soooo did not turn out the way it was meant to but in the end I had a bit of a hissy fit and left it as it was ;-)
So, this was the sketch:
sketch-7-april-10 copy
At least I got to use my new lush ribbon :-) The stamp is Uptown girl Charlie sits by the Chimney and the papers are 'Fresh Raspberries' from Raspberry Road.
I was going for black and white to go with some papers that, once again, I KNEW were in my crafty stash. Oh man, did I throw a hissy when they weren't to be found. I have learned my lesson this week - find papers BEFORE colouring begins!

The scones are no more and I have started the diet again with a new sense of purpose. In part this has been helped by the fact that my husband is also on a diet following his health check ;-)

Sending hugs xx

First LOTV DT card :-)

I was super excited when I got the e-mail asking me to join the LOTV DT collective; I didn't realise at that point how stressed I would be making cards for them! I got myself into such a pickle. I coloured up the image to match some beautiful papers I KNEW were in my craft box only to find, when I'd finished the colouring, that those papers were long gone. Doh! Anyhoo, on the bright side it matched these Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics 1922 (Which I had been saving because they were too lovely to use!).
I thought these were bluebells but the name of the stamp is 'Fogloves' so I guess they're not ;-) I even hand stitched the papers.
We seem to have spent the Easter weekend visiting parks and doing Easter Egg hunts :-) Much fun was had by all but as I'm on a diet no chocolate was had by me.

I want to say a big thank you to a crafty friend who calmed my cardmaking nerves and politely encouraged me to get a grip! Sending hugs, Jayne xxx

Stitch it at Bellarific Fridays!

I like Fridays; it's the end of the week and I get to play along at Stampingbella's 'Bellarific Fridays' challenge. This week we had to incorporate stitching into out card. This card was a bit of a rush job - in-laws coming, house a mess = panic stations!! I had coloured up this image last week but obviously it was done with no thought as to what papers I'd use as I couldn't find any to match. Thank goodness for NitWit Collections!!! These papers are from the Ladies and Gentlemen Collection.
The stamp is Opal the Optimist and she's my new favourite :-)
I apologise again for not visiting as many blogs as I'd hoped. I really hope my health starts to improve soon - it gets you down after a bit! I'm sending hugs to everyone, especially those in need. Hugs, Jayne xxx

Heavenly Magnolia!

Today's card teams up the cutest Tilda I found lurking at the bottom of my Christmas stamp box with some papers from the Heavenly Collection (From NitWit Collections).
Please excuse the picture - the colours are so not right! Do you know what? That camera has not been the same since a certain little person got her hands on it! I might have to go faff about with it  - but, as you know, me and technology are not exactly a match made in heaven :-0
This is such a pretty and delicate selection of papers and the kit includes lots of fab extra bits you can use as the trees and the little sock.
FQB - Heavenly Collection
I had some really nice news at the end of last week when I found out I'd been given a place on the new Lili of The Valley Design Collective. All the ladies have been really lovely and I'm super excited but completely stressed out and overwhelmed at the same time! I'm sure I'll stop stressing at some point. Probably.

With that news I will drag myself off to the sofa to watch NCIS New Orleans. Sending you all warm wishes and sleepy hugs! Thank you for visiting me :-) Jayne xx
