Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas! I have been a very bad blogger and team mate over the last few months and I apologise. I've had numerous visits at the doctors, hospital, test and general health palaver! Sorry I haven't visited any blogs recently; hopefully things will pick up in the new year.

In the meantime I'll share what we made in my last class of this year.
We used the We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch to make everything! It was a fab class and we certainly kept busy.
The stamps are from Card-io.
I trawled the internet looking for Christmas things we could make with the board and these tags are my version of some others I found on Pinterest.
And finally, we made a cracker. Well, we had to - all filled with chocolates :-)
Wishing you a very happy Christmas and healthy new year.

Big hugs, Jayne xxx

Just about in time!

Here are my two November LOTV makes for the LOTV Design Collective. I just about sneaked these in on time!
Just love this pretty tree with the Snow Princess papers from NitWit Collections.
Hmm, the penguins feet are a little radioactive (lol) but I coloured it whilst I was out and used what pens I had!!!! :-)

Best get cracking with those Christmas cards !

I really must start making Christmas cards or I'm going to be very stressed on December 24th! This is one of the cards we made at the last class I taught. I think the ladies really liked making this - particularly colouring onto Kraft.
The stamp and card are both from Crafter's Companion. The snowflake stamp is an ancient one from Personal Impressions. I got a really pretty tag on something ages ago and I saved it because I really loved the shape - I used that as a template for the two tags :-)
I have another class on Sunday when we'll be making a Finish star. Fingers crossed!

Hugs, Jayne

Another sneaky peek!

This is the second card using the Water Babies stamp set from LOTV. I think the stamps will be released on the 10th November.
The papers are 'Bonnets and Bowties' from LOTV/NitWits Collections.
I couldn't use my normal stamping card (long story) and this paper so didn't like copics. I ended up practically wrestling with it!!!!

Can't wait for the stamps to be released - they are all beautiful :-) Check out the DT Collectives cards on the LOTV Pinterest page.

Thank you for visiting. Sending huggles, Jayne xx

Sneak Peek of the new release from LOTV :-)

Hold onto your hats ladies - LOTV are releasing the cutest bunch of stamps EVER :-) I think they'll be available in early November and will be on sale at the NEC.

I've teamed up one of the 'Water Babies' stamps with some Craftwork Cards papers (yippee, I'm finally cutting into all those yummy papers).
Did I not tell you they were CUTE?
Hope that your day goes swimmingly :-)

Annabel Texting!

This is my second LOTV DT collective card for October. I've teamed the LOTV/NitWit Collections 'Sunny Side Up' papers with Annabel Texting.
Love that MFT die - so glad I saw it on Vixx blog :-)
I added some LOTV sentiment tags and some twine and job done. Phew!

Hope that you're having a fab weekend. Jayne x

Walk the Plank

Life's getting in the way at the moment and I haven't had any time for a proper crafty session in ages :-(  So this is another quick card using the 'walk the plank' image from Art Pad Set 5 (Action Time) from LOTV.
I love this image and it's perfect for the NitWit Collection Landho papers.

Thank you for visiting. Sending hugs, Jayne x

LOTV specials offer - there's still time, be quick!!

The offer of10 (selected) stamps for £30 and the offers on the art pads and paper pads is still on over at LOTV so be quick! It ends Sunday at 12 noon. I headed over there to get the Christmas paper pad I've had my eye on for AGES only to find out that it had sold out. I may have had a hissy fit.

So today's card uses one of the special offer stamps: hydrangeas.
I've teamed it up with the Petal Fresh collection from NitWit Collections.

It's been a busy and stressful week and I'll be glad when it's half term. My little furbaby suffered a complication a week after the chemo and we had to rush him to the vet. He developed septicaemia and needed intravenous antibiotics. The day after he was refusing to eat so I had to troop to the vets with his bowl and his food and sit with him and of course as soon as I got there he was prince perky and gobbled his food in seconds. He is such a shocker!

I have a class tomorrow so hopefully I'll be back tomorrow to show you what we were making.

Thank you for visiting. I really hope to start visiting your blogs again soon. Hugs, Jayne xx

Sweet Peas and special offers over at LOTV!

Get your purses at the ready ladies! At midday today LOTV are running a special offer on selected stamps and art pads :-) I'm pretty sure that the special offer stamps will be 10 for £30. Today's card is one of those on offer, 'Sweet Peas'.
It is such a pretty image :-) I've teamed it with papers from the 'More than Words' pad from Craftwork Cards. I have a terrible confession. I have loads of Craftwork Cards pads that are barely used. The papers are so beautiful I daren't cut into them!!!! Sigh.
Thank you for your kind words about my beautiful doggie. It's been nearly a week since his first chemotherapy session and, fingers crossed, so far no hideous side effects :-) He also seems a little perkier. He's certainly getting plenty of cuddles and attention.

Thank you for visiting. Hope all is well with you. Sending hugs, Jayne xx

Flower Shoppe Lilacs

I've teamed up the LOTV stamp 'lilacs' with the beautiful NitWit 'Flower Shoppe' papers. I made this card for a friend who's been an absolute star over the last few weeks with all the health and dog dramas I've had! You know a person is a real friend when they stick with you when life is utter pants :-)
I haven't done much colouring lately and it's going to take a while to get back into the swing of things!
This is one of my favourite stamps :-)

This is my first LOTV Design Collective card for October.  Thank you for coming to visit, I really appreciate it.

My little doggie starts his chemotherapy on Thursday and we hope that it helps to slow down the spread of the cancer and makes him a little better. Fingers crossed.

Hugs, Jayne

Samuel Taylor's Class

I taught a lovely class of ladies at Samuel Taylor's last Sunday. They were just the best class, so eager and excited to learn and share their knowledge. I had such a great afternoon :-)

These are the two cards we made:

The panels were made using the Sue Wilson snowflake striplet and we used sheets of double sided adhesive to stick the glitter. We also decoupaged the snowman - though you can't tell here.(Woodware snowman stamp!)

I think this next card was the class's favourite though.
The snowflake is a Joy Crafts die and the holly flourish is from Sue Wilson.
I really love this little snowman stamp - really versatile and very jolly.

Apologies for my bad blogger-ness lately. I have had an unmovable virus for weeks. The main reason for my absence though is that my beloved doggy has been diagnosed with a very rare and incurable cancer. He starts chemo in a couple of weeks and we hope that stops the cancer spreading in the short term. I have concluded, in the last couple of weeks, that your dog will break your heart far worse than any man ever could!!!! I shall go and snivel somewhere else.

Thank you so much for visiting me, it means such a lot. I shall endeavour to pull myself together and visit you soon. Hugs, Jayne xx

A quick reminder that Squirrel is running a purple friends challenge over on her blog.  All she wants to see is a 'friendship' themed card which also contains purple - somewhere!!
This is my midway reminder card and my first LOTV Design Collective card for September.
The papers are 'Promises' from NitWit Collections.
Hope that you can join us. Hugs x

More Purple Friends with Squirrel!

Good morning! This will be a super quick post as today I have my two plus my cousin's daughter to look after and we have something approaching a mad house :-)

This is my second card for Squirrel's 'Purple Friends' challenge. This one is Stampingbella's Paige and Peggy pour some tea.
My daughter thinks that this looks like me and my friend Sarah. I, of course, am the one with the mad hair!!!
I hope that you get the chance to join us in this fun challenge :-) All you need is to hop on over to Squirrel's blog and enter a card about friendship that also contains something purple.

Purple Friends with Squirrel :-)

Ok, so this month the fabulous Squirrel has invited Annette and I to join her in hosting another fun challenge. This time it's cards with a friendship theme, and if I heard right a purple theme :-) So if you have purple friends you're pretty much good to go!

I'll start with this super cute image (now retired) from LOTV. I've teamed it with the Snow Princess papers from NitWits - which I assure you have a much more purpley hue in real life.
I hope that you can join us over on Squirrel's blog.
I have waged war on all the random pieces of plastic tat in the house. Seriously, it's not that children have large plastic toys, it's all the little bits of plastic rubbish that have no place in a civilised world. And nobody even knows what most of them are. Let me tell you, when my older girl goes to school on Thursday I am waging war on her toybox of tat. The reason I don't clean the house is that I can't even see the floor in most rooms. And not that I am a dreadfully slovenly slack housewife who would rather craft. Obviously.

Baubles (with robins!)

I very nearly didn't post this as my husband said that the paper looked like Vera Duckworth's wallpaper :-( I'm not sure he was impressed and now I'm not sure either!
The robin trio stamp set will be available, along with the other trio sets showcased by the fabulous Design Collective girls, at Lili of the Valley on the 31st of August.

Thank you for stopping by and for all your kind comments. You're keeping me going at the moment!

No more robins now. For a while. Sending big hugs. Jayne xx

Wot no robins?

Ahh, today is a robin free day :-)  Today I have a sadly retired LOTV stamp and have teamed it up with the delish LOTV Snow Princess papers. There are lots more yummy James Bear stamps on the website (I may even have a few myself). :-)
The stamps I bought in the LOTV sale came this week so I got to use a little postmark sentiment on this one. Happy days.
Taking my daughter to a playgym party now :-) She has such a great social life lol!

Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Jayne xx

Anyone for more robins?

Ok, I promise I only have one more LOTV robin trio to come! This one teams the trio (that I turned into a quartet) with NitWit Collections Polar Pals papers. Super yum :-)
The pretty poinsettia die was given to me by Annette and was the perfect thing for this card :-) Thanks hun!! I think it's Marianne Creatables.

Right, That's me for today. I'm off to soak my poorly shoulder in the bath. I'm a physical wreck this week!!

More robins!!

Agghhh! I have me a cold sore appearing on my lip. Hmm, tired, run down and stressed out - yep, a cold sore recipe :-(  I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself - I can't work out how having a cold sore always makes my eyes feel sore?

Anyhoo, back to the LOTV soon to be released robins. I kept it simple - pertly because I'm trying to come up with a style that I can 'batch make' for Christmas :-)

I love this red and white paper - it's my new favourite colour combo!
Ok, I have a confession. I've been such a bad girl - but in my defence it was a sale!! I spent the LOTV voucher Squirrel bought me for my birthday (aww, what a fab friend) and an extra £10 on 3 A5 stamp sets and 3 little stamps. Ooooh, I'm just super naughty. I think I showed remarkable restraint.

That's me for today. Hope you have a great week. Hugs, Jayne xx

Sneaky peek number 2.

Today's offering is from the soon to be released trio collection from LOTV (released end of August/early September). I have this super cute robin trio for you.
I've used a spellbinders snowflake die as the base of the tag - the stamp just fitted perfectly :-)
I love these little stamps!
And to finish;
Can't wait for these to be released - trouble is I can't make up my mind which other sets I need ;-)

Sending weekend hugs, Jayne xx

Sneaky Peek :-)

Before I get started I have to tell you that LOTV are having a sale :-) It ends at 10am Sunday 16th and it's free P&P. Yippeeeee.

My second yippeeeee of the day is in regards to my sneak peek of an upcoming set of stamps. The set is a trio of robins but I only used one on this card so it must be an uno? Possibly.
I was heavily inspired by a beautiful card made by Dawny P using the Tonic Petunia Trellis die with liquid pearls.
I wasn't intending to put a bow on it but just as I finished the liquid pearl drops my little munchkin decided that moment was perfect to climb up on my chair and give mummy a big hugs. I may have squealed a little.

These stamps are just so pretty and fab to colour in - perfect for a batch set of Christmas cards.
I'll be back with the whole trio soon - I've made some tags and will blog them when I get five minutes peace. Let's not hold our breath!

Hugs, Jayne xxxx

First LOTV Design Collective card for August - Just chilling!

After a week on Anglesey, building more sandcastles than you can shake a stick at, I sure could do with sitting on a lily pad and having a relax :-)  Granted it would have to be a whopper of a lily pad!! If only I were like this little LOTV fairy.
I've teamed up the LOTV Water Lily stamp with the NitWit Collection 'Country Meadows' papers. Just scrummy. I've used a Lawn Fawn sun die and a sentiment from Stampingbella (pretty sure it's the new release 'Blossom Loves Balloons').

Seriously, after a week away, I really need a holiday. I'm pretty sure that when I was a kid I did the digging when making sandcastles. I'm almost certain that I didn't run in and out of the sea shouting instructions as to what I wanted and giving design instructions. Hmm. I think I missed a trick there!

I hope you're having a fabulous weekend. Have you treated yourself to any of the new LOTV Christmas stamps or calendar fairies? It's hard to narrow down my 'need' list!!!

Sending hugs, Jayne xx
