Recycle Something over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog!

Over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog this fortnight we would like to see you use something recycled on your card. This could be an old button, ribbon or, like me, a cereal box!  I received these yummy House Mouse stamps from Sheenie Towers for this challenge! They are the House Mouse 'Chocolate Heart' set and can be bought here. There are days when I think I've got just the best job ever!
I cut out two cheery Lynn heart dies from a cereal box and painted them with white acrylic paint and then distressed them with walnut distress stain. The little felt flower on the bow is from my daughter's broken hair slide (she doesn't much 'do' hair slides. Or tidy hair of any description for that matter :))

The papers are from a the Debbi Moore Shabby Chic Teddy Bear CD ROM (which includes some really beautiful papers!)
So, that's me. There is a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher up for grabs for the winner so I really hope you get chance to enter.
Apologies for the late post. A combination of feeling rough, computer difficulties and a VERY long performance involving a five year child and a written comprehension came together to cause utter chaos. Ahh, the joys of life :)
Hope you're having a great weekend, hugs Jayne xx

Seeing Double over at Lili's Little Fairies

What is with this weather? The sun is now shining but it's blowing an absolute gale. I cut short my power walk in fear of being blown away! Still, I've managed to get some colouring done and I managed to salvage my washing from my  'accidentally putting a new blue tee shirt in with my white load' disaster :)

Today over at the Fairies we would like you to use a LOTV image that consists of two people/animals/animal and person. Couldn't be simpler! As an added bonus we are sponsored by Stamposaurus and have two gorgeous stamps to give away :)

I was about to sign off and remembered that I hadn't actually posted a pic of my card - blimey, I'm all kinds of nuts at the moment!!!!
I used the totally scrummy Gabrielle Collection papers from Bo Bunny on this one; I really love this green colour. The sentiment and image are both LOTV. I've used a little Melissa Frances corner; they were half price at my local craft shop and therefore impossible to resist :) I coloured with copics; my distress marker colouring is not improving and I'm on the verge of giving it up as a bad job!!

The good news is that I managed to transfer two albums to my ipod; the bad news is I haven't got a clue HOW I did it! Back to the drawing board.

Hope you're having a great week. Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Jayne xx

A Little Bit Crafty midway reminder!

A quick post today to remind you that we are half way through our first 'A Little Bit Crafty' Challenge. We've already had a ton of stunning entries :) I came over all girly pink for this one!
The papers are from Wild Rose Studio - really pretty they are too, such a shame I've practically covered them in embellies! The fabulous stamps are all from Dreamees. I've used their new script stamp with spun sugar distress ink to print a background behind the Penny Farthing then stamped the bike over the top. The flowers I made by stamping out the medium and the small Dreamees hot air balloon stamps multiple times and colouring them with copics. I'm loving these stamps :)

I've run out of lace and other essentials and am not sure if I have sufficient funds to visit WOC :( I've been given an ipod nano as an early birthday present and today I'm going to see if I can get the contents of a CD onto said pod. Putting the two side by side doesn't seem to have worked so I'm guessing I have to do something with the computer!!!!!! Oh man, it's going to be such a long day ;)

Ooh, and just a gentle reminder that it's just ONE entry per person :)

Big hugs, Jayne xx

Super quick card!

This was one of those cards that I left right until the last minute to make - like the morning of the person's birthday! Oops. It kinda looks thrown together too!! I really must get a grip and sort myself out :)

The Tatty Ted stamp was free, and I'm pretty sure it came with the Docrafts Creativity magazine. The papers are Wild Rose Designs - Annabel's Meadow. I didn't want want to put too many embellies on as it was for a 9 year old who loves Tatty Teddy but is a bit 'too cool for school'!!

I must go as today Indigo is being a builder. Everywhere is completely covered with masking tape and she is madly measuring everything. She 'helped' me chop veg for green lentil shepherds pie this morning and I'm still trying to get it finished! My in-laws helpfully suggested that the new baby might be just like it's father as their two were apparently 'no trouble at all'. Well, I love my fabulous 3ft bundle of trouble just fine and I don't mind a bit if the new one is just like her! That's how I know that they're mine!!!!! lol!

All Stitched up at Lili's Little fairies!

Well, this one took me forever!! I'm not really sure how to pull off the faux stitching look successfully so I decided, in my wisdom, to get my piercing ruler, prick holes all around the edge of the paper and then hand sew. Ha! What a crazy woman!! Anyhoo, t'is done and I'm in no hurry to try it again!
I've used my new dangly heart dies from Memory Box - just how cute are they? I'm trying to cut down on my purchases but every time I visit Lorraine's blog I see a beautiful card with some new scrumptious die on it and I'm sunk! Mrs B, you are very bad for my poor bank balance!!
The papers are Melissa Frances 'C'est La Vie'; the whole pad is filled with scrummy papers :D  The image and sentiment are both LOTV and the flowers are from WOC.

So, this week we'd like to see you use an LOTV image and either real or faux stitching on your card. Simple :D

You may need to sit down for this news. I, chronic over-embellisher that I am,  came top three in the CAS Without Words Easter challenge! I don't even care if I got the sympathy vote - I was over the moon!!

Carrying on with the good news; I am now over half way through this pregnancy! I'm really not a natural and am in no way glowing. I still look decidedly green and my body resembles a mish mash of jabba the hut, Kim Kardashian and Dolly Parton. It so is not pretty. If it's a boy, my daughter wants to call him Dappy Duck.  I think I may have my work cut out :D

Thank you for visiying me, it makes my day. Big hugs, Jayne xx
