Buttons and Bows over at Lili's Little Fairies

A nice easy challenge this week! All we want to see is a card made using an LOTV image with a button and bow thrown on for good measure :)
I think perhaps the meece LOTV stamps are my favourite of all; I can't explain why, they just have such a happy feel to them. I think I was suffering form embellishment withdrawal symptoms after making the two CAS cards and I went merrily mad with embellies on this one! Nothing makes me happier than heaping gorgeous embellies on a card :D The papers are bits of a Forever Friends pad that I've had for years. The image and sentiment are LOTV and the flowers are WOC.
Hmm, muslin, lace, ribbon, a button, a doily, a frame and a zillion flowers; I'm not even sure this one will stand up!!! I hope that you get a chance to join us this week, and don't forget we have a DT call on at the mo, Big hugs, Jayne xx

CAS Easter cards

I'm not big on making Easter cards and as you know I'm not wild about CAS either but needs must! As I'm posting these I wanted to keep them flat so as not to incur extortionate postage charges - I do wish the post office would take pity on us poor over embellishing crafters and go back to charging by weight!

So, I used my new Stampavie 'Chirpy' stamp and got cracking. The pink card is made with Me to You 'Spring Chic' papers and the green card is using Forever Friends 'Spring Time' papers - and I used my new Die'sire embossing folder! Woohoo. Will look to see which one I used (it was 3 for 2 so how could I resist!).
I have to confess, these probably took me longer than a card heaped in embellies! They never seem quite finished to me!!!

I have a DT card to make - you know one of those that you just can't get your head around so you keep on putting it off! I need to just get cracking. Which I will do after I've had a cuppa and watched a bit of nonsense on the telly!  Big hugs, Jayne xx

Up,up and away!

This is the card I've managed to make this week. It's been a bit crazy. So, I got the Chronology papers back out as I thought the balloon paper was perfect with this image :)

This is an LOTV stamp that actually belongs to my daughter but I've 'borrowed' it! The fabulous balloons are a new release from Dreamees and are a steal at £3-00! Dreamees Hayley also has a youtube video showing you how to make flowers from the balloons! It's genius and I've used the idea on my second 'Little Bit Crafty' challenge blog card which I'll post on April 15th.

I'll be back tomorrow with a CAS Easter card. It's only CAS because I'm sending it in the post and I'm being tight!!!! Big hugs, Jayne xx

Come Rain or Shine at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog

Well, how apt is a weather themed challenge at the moment? Paula must have special powers! I was sent a beautiful set of Little Suzy's Zoo stamps (Singing in the Rain JS353) from Sheenie Towers to work with this week and this is what I came up with:
I used the Grand Nestabilities Labels One to make the card blank and coloured the cute little duck with my copics. The papers are from the Country Companions 'Sunshine Meadows' A4 pack and the embellies are from my stash.

At the moment I'm thinking rain would be preferable to the heap of snow that we do have! I'm sure Spring is just around the corner :)

There is a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher up for grabs and I hope that you get the chance to join us.Big hugs, Jayne xx

Spring Colours at Lili's Little Fairies.

Ha, spring colours! We have loads of snow here today and I walked my little girl to school in a blooming blizzard!! Still, I'm sure that just thinking about spring will make us feel warmer :) Apologies for the lack of a Fairy Challenge last week. As Mummy Fairy is away we have the gorgeous Squirrel in charge. You can rest assured that we are in safe, if a little crazed, hands :)

So, spring colours it is. I was thinking of tulips when I embarked on this card with it's slightly deranged colour scheme!
I have to admit that this one is a bit bright but I really do love these River Bank papers from Trimcraft, and they have a lovely linen texture to them. The image is Fairies Bouquet form LOTV and little tag sentiment is also from LOTV. The flowers are from WOC and the fence is the Magnolia DooHickey.

I hope that you get the chance to join us this week. Have a great weekend. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Feeling a bit green . . . .

Please excuse the quality of the photo - the computer was returned to me minus my graphics programme and I'm having such a trauma editing photos! Anyhoo, I'm trying to get some 'man' cards made as I've absolutely none in my box and it's getting desperate. So, hopefully, this will be the first of many.

I used an absolute ton of stamps on this one so I actually made a list! The papers are from the Docrafts 'Chronology' range. On one of the backing papers I overstamped with the Flying Machines stamp from Stampendous. The main image is from the Timeless Journey collection from Creative Expressions. I've embossed it with black WOW embossing powder and stamped the Latin Script stamp from Inkylicious in bundled sage distress ink in the background. The torn script is also using Creative Expressions stamp - can you tell that I'm trying to stamp more and quit being so lazy! The 'Happy Birthday' banner is from the Lindsay Mason Occasion Tags set.

This was one of those cards that should have taken 10 minutes to complete but ended up in a prolonged session of faffing :) Ah well, I did have fun.

Hope that you've had a great weekend and if you went to the Harrogate show I hope that you bought some tip top crafty goodies. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Are you feeling 'A Little Bit Crafty'?

Exciting news, there's going to be a brand new Challenge Blog starting on April 1st!  The 'A Little Bit Crafty' challenge will be held on Paula Holifield's blog and there'll be lots of fantastic prizes up for grabs. :) Paula has worked super hard to get the blog up and running and has secured the best sponsors and has a super talented DT. I'm really grateful to have been asked to join, particularly as I've not been exactly in tip top condition lately!

The challenge will run on a monthly basis and it really is going to be worth joining in the fun! If you get the chance, go and check out Paula's blog for more details.

Top of the Pops over at Lili's Little Fairies!

This week we want you to get inspired by music and make a card with a song title theme. If that makes sense! This card was inspired by 'Swords of a Thousand Men' by Tenpole Tudor - from way back in the 80s.
I was without a computer all last week and now it's been 'fixed'. Hmm, it is now the slowest beastie ever and my patience is being tested. In all honesty, I don't have that much patience to start with so it doesn't take much!

The papers are from the Land Ho collection from Nitwits; I think this is my most used download, they're just fab! The image and sentiments are from LOTV. I've coloured with copics and embellished with whatever I could find in my craft box. I struggle with male cards; no ribbon, no flowers - I come out in a cold sweat!

The DT have come up with some absolute beauties this week and I hope that you get the chance to visit them. Hope that you are having a great week and that the snow is finally clearing. I'm going for a nice walk in the sun after lunch and then I'm off to read with those reluctant five year olds. I get all the best jobs!

Hugs, Jayne xx
